My Review of Pet Ghosts

Do you believe in Spirits ? What about spirits of departed pets?

In Pet Ghosts: Animal Encounters from Beyond the Grave, Joshua Warren coins the term phantimals to describe the paranormal creatures which appear more animal-like than human-like.

No one truly understands how, or why, ghosts manifest, but Warren hazards an explanation for animal apparitions.
This book is a comprehensive look at how animal spirits relate to humans.

Inside are anecdotes of phantimals (including some manifesting pterdactyls) and more theories to explain them.

There is advice on contacting your own lost pets, some simple tools and techniques to help find the spirit of these deceased pets, and how to record them.

“Animals are like cameras that can capture experiences beyond us”

Warren believes that animals occupy a certain range of frequencies.

When they are alive to us that range includes the part of the spectrum we call physical. When they die they shift frequencies slightly, shedding that particular layer we experience physically, like a coat, but still existing to some degree at a different level.

To sum up ...

You won't read this book in a day, it's not written in the easiest of English, but if you're keen to contact a former animal companion the vocabulary won't hinder you.

The spirits of departed pets can be all around us. We just have to open up to them

grannysage says:

We were very close to our cat Trill and we deeply saddened when she passed on. One night my husband and I were in bed and we heard a very loud, rumbling purr like from a big cat. I think she always saw herself as a panther, and has kept a watch on us ever since.

This is just crazy! And there's no such things as ghosts anyway

As I said above, still not sure what I think about ghosts, except that every now and then, just as I'm drifting off to sleep I could swear a cat jumps up on my bed and walks up to my face. I have two cats who have passed and I think it's one of them. Or my memory of them that somehow gets triggered as I'm going to sleep.

Lady Ghost is very attracted to this lens and suggested to her ghostwriter that it be lensrolled to her lens. As she speaks, so it shall be.
