Pet Portraits and animal paintings in various mediums such as oils,pastel,gouache,pencil and acrylic. I paint pictures of various pets, animals and wildlife from photographs or pictures of your choice. Based in Lincolnshire with commissions from all over U.K and other countries such as US and Australia. Working in various mediums such as pastel , oil , pencil and water color paints. Animal portraits and paintings of Cats,Dogs,Horses, Rabbits,Gorillas - in fact pretty much any animal you can think of !

My name is Helena and I live in Lincolnshire. On here you will find a just a few examples of my (hobby) work. I have been painting both my pets and other peoples as well as a variety of other sorts of animals for over 20 years now and enjoy it very much.
There is nothing like getting away from the hustle and bustle and doing something that you thoroughly enjoy, as I do when I paint!

I first started painting in the 80's and at first used my own pet cats as subjects, but friends and family saw the end results and soon commissioned work for their cats and dogs etc. not long after that friends of friends were asking me to paint everything from horses to hamsters!
Before long it started to turn from a hobby into a part time job, how many people can say they love their job?

I enjoy painting wild animals the most as you will see from the volume of my work but that said, I enjoy the end result of any animal or pet portrait that I paint or sketch.
