Do You Talk To Your Pets? Do They Talk To YOU?
We kept thinking that she would find her way back to where she belonged but days passed and months passed and she was still here. Our other cats were not very fond of her but we had no choice but to feed her (or at least that is what I thought). We talked about the need to take her to the vet to get her fixed but on the days that we were ready to do it, we couldn't catch her.
All of a sudden it seemed that she was getting bigger and bigger. Yes, she was pregnant and made a home for her 3 kittens and herself under our house. It is cool under there is the summer and warm in the winter so it was a good choice but it was a couple of weeks before we actually saw the kittens: two orange tabbys and one solid white just like the mommy.
My Grandson and I went around taking pictures of our pets asking them what they were thinking at the time. What do you think they said?

Please add a caption if you think of one that is better than the ones already added or you can vote for your favorite. I know there are a lot of creative readers so am looking forward to reading the words that you put in our pet"s mouths. So, what do you think each had to say about the kittens that came into our lives? Don't be bashful but please be clean. Thank you.
I posted this photo on Face Book looking for homes for the 3 kittens
3 Cute Kittens Free To A Good Home
I got an immediate response from one friend who ended up taking the white kitten. A week later I heard from another friend who worked with someone who was interested in looking at one of the orange ones. It turned out that this very nice couple took both the little orange kittens. So, thanks to FaceBook, all the kittens now have good homes.
Do you think it was something this kitten said? What do you think he is saying in this photo?

This kitten did not like to be disturbed.
Do you think he was trying to tell us something?
What do you think this kitten is saying?

These two were just meant to go together to the same home!
Thank goodness, the new owners took both kittens
Do you think they were happy about that? I sure do!
What are they saying here?

Around and around just like the wind, where one kitty starts, the other one ends!

Billy, the Turtle, has something to say about this situation
What do you think he said?
Billy is a red eared slider and is enjoying his new waterfall but did take time out from his swim to talk to us. What in the world is he trying to say?

Henrietta, the Cockatiel, always has something to say
And she says it in a high pitched voice!
I will have to tell you a little story about Henrietta. You see, she was a gift to my hubby from our daughter and grandson. We all thought she was a male bird so my husband and grandson named him Henry. One day Henry laid eggs so we knew we had to change her name to Henrietta but what were we going to tell our grandson?
That afternoon I prided myself in explaining about Henry being a girl bird and that she laid the eggs and went into a real good explanation of why the eggs would not hatch. I really thought I had done an excellent job until I later heard my grandson explain it to his best friend.
My grandson told his friend that we had to change Henry's name to Henrietta because she laid these eggs but there wouldn't be any babies in the eggs because we didn't have the right kind of fertilizer.
Oh well, I tried!
So what does Henrietta think of these three baby kittens?

What 'cha lookin' at with that look on your faces? Haven't you ever seen a "dog" before?!!

Miss Pitty Pat is almost 10 years old
So she can say whatever she wants to!
What do you think she said about the new situation in our home?

Fran, the Cat, is kinda quiet!
Do you think she has anything to say?
Mott and Fran are sisters and came from the Animal Shelters as babies. Did you know that it is rare to have two females in the same litter who are calico?

What are Calico Cats?
Calico Cats are always female
Category: File - :Long-haired tortoiseshell DSCF0193.JPG|thumb|right|200px|A tortoiseshell cat.
Category: Image - :Tortie-flame.jpg||thumb|200px|right|A tortoiseshell cat.Tortoiseshell describes a coat coloring found almost exclusively in female cats. Cats of this color are mottled, with patches of orange or cream and chocolate, black or blue. They are sometimes called torties for short.
The term "tortoiseshell" is typically reserved for cats with brindled coats that have relatively few or no white markings.
Those that are largely white with red and brown patches (rather than a brindled aspect) are described as tortoiseshell-and-white (in the United Kingdom) or calico (in Canada and the United States). Tortoiseshells and calicos are not specific breeds of cat. The tortoiseshell markings appear in many different breeds. This pattern is especially preferred in the Japanese Bobtail breed.

Did you know?
The Vet told the new owners this bit of information about Tabbys
Did you know that 80% of all Tabbys are Male? It's true.
What is a Tabby Cat?
See article from Wikipedia for answer.
The tabby cat has a distinctive coat that features stripes, dots, or swirling patterns, usually together with an "M" mark on its forehead. Tabbies are sometimes erroneously assumed to be a breed of cat.A Tribute to Tabby Cats in all Their Manifestations. About.com:Cats. Retrieved on January 31, 2008 In fact, the tabby pattern is found in many breeds of cat, as well as among the general mixed-breed or mongrel population. The tabby pattern is a naturally occurring feature that may be related to the coloration of the domestic cat's direct ancestor, the African Wildcat.
What Do You Think They Should Name These Precious Kittens?
Thank you for your suggestions. The kittens have now been given names.
They refer to the Kittens as "The Boys" and their names are GrowlTiger and Rum Tum.
Update on Mama Cat
Mama Cat Gets Adopted and Named Claire
Our Trip To The Vet Was Great

We took the Mama Cat to the Vet and ended up finding her a great home with one of the girls that works there. Now everyone (3 kittens and Mama) have new homes and all have names.
Did you know that one blue eye and one green eye meant that the cat may be deaf?
White Kitten was the first to be adoped and seems to be enjoying a little late night TV

- What a fun lens! And, oh yes, my dog talks to me ALL the time. After 11 and a half years together, she doesn't even have to speak to convey her thoughts. (Besides, she's either saying, "Give me a treat NOW!" "I have to go potty NOW!" or "I want to go for a walk NOW!" ... so it's not hard to figure out which it is.)
Anyhow, I also wanted to say thank you SO much for being so supportive of what I come up with here on Squidoo. Your visits, comments and angel blessings are so appreciated. It means a lot.

- Absolutely -- i.e., we talk to our pets and they understand us and believe you me, I more than understand Boots the Tabby Cat; however, at the moment, Pug the Cat is sending me mixed signals! She's the one with the vestibular disorder.
