ArtZpet.com was started by pet owner and artist Mel Light and her sister Meredith Light. Striving to find pet art proved to be an easy task but finding both quality pet art and pet lover gift items was a harrowing experience. In her research, Mel Light discovered CafePress, an award winning print-on-demand company and began to create her own artwork and art gift items for the breed she owned and knew so well, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Her sister, the business woman and copywriter, pointed out to her that it would take her years, if not a lifetime or two, to create all the breed art she planned to.
