I have a friend who has a dog with severe arthritis and she is going to give stemcell therapy a try for her dog. It will cost around $4000.

I completely agree. Preventative medicine is the best way to go to keep your dog's arthritis from acting up early. Glucosamine and a good diet for my senior pooch. What do you think about raw diets?

Excellent lens. Currently deciding between "Muscle & Joint Support" and "Only Natural Pet Lubri-Ease." Have tried two forms of Glucosamine/Chondroitin and it's a constant battle to get my dog to digest them, no matter how much we try to disguise them. I'll try another brand. I take Glucosamine/Chondroitin supplements myself and I know they help! Thanks for making this lens!

As a dog lover and owner of 2 German Wirehaired Pointers, I found this lens to be most helpful even though my dogs do not sufer from any form of arthritis. You provided great information here. Thanks.

    Hi Deb,
    Great insightful lens.
I have a another helpful tip also. A few people I know have had great results in giving Nopalea to their pets. Watching them go from major pain and serious inflammation to running and playing again. Anything to make our best friends late years better, our dog Nina loves it! You can read about Nopalea on my lens.. I should hunt up the pet testimonials and post them..

Our vet just recently switched our dog to a natural remedy. He has arthritis and hip dysplasia and he is doing very well on the natural remedy - makes me feel very good to get him off those harder, synthetic drugs!

Having spent much of my life researching arthritis treatment for people, it is great to see a site devoted to helping our canine friends with this as well.

Thanks for the informational lens! My dog Zoe began suffering from Arthritis. She was given Rimadyl, fatty acids(which helped also with her skin allergies) along with painkillers, gentle care and lots of love. It was such a relief when she began feeling better. For now we're OK with her Arthiritis. Next time when we'll get to see more of it, (I hope never, but she's not getting any younger) I'll come here to find other options of treatment.

Great Info - I have a 15 year old dog who suffers and I found that Glycoflex III was my saving grace. I wrote about her on my lens My Senior Dog Bailey. She is now on Rimadyl for the past 2 months as needed. I am aware of all the side effects and I watch her and she is monitored closely. Thanks for all the great info. You have been Blessed by The Party Animal. Party On....

Our beagle has arthritis and we've been wondering if we could use an OTC medicine, like Aleve. I'm glad that I found this lens. It was very interesting and the section on natural products has given us something to think about. Lensrolled to Just Love Dogs - Our Beagle, Max.

Great lens! I am a natural health Mom for my dog too and have found many of the same products you have. Thanks for a terrific place to go for dog health!

Came over to this lens to find out about giving dogs being in pain and giving them aspirin, and what the side effects are. Thank God for your lens! You hear so much about canine genetic make up being so much like man's - that you almost start to believe, if we can take it... they can too. Your lens is a life saver. Thank you!

Great information, we have a 9 year old golden that's getting a little stiff and looking into adopting a 5 year old golden with elbow dysplasia. Just the info I was looking for.

    Thanks
