Get to Know Peter Paul Cimino...
Peter and his son Matthew
Born Peter Paul Cimino on October 28th 1963 in a small New Jersey town called Passaic, he has come a long way in blossoming into a talented writer and author.
Forgoing a pen name he explains, "I am proud of who I am and I am proud of my name. I have no desire to hide behind some catchy surname. My hope is that my work will stand out for itself."
Peter received a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in Schaumburg, IL. It is there that he met the two people that most influenced his decision to get into writing.
"Jenny Maloney, who is now a dear friend of mine and who I absolutely love, was my Sociology professor. She was the very first person to ever tell me I had real writing talent and that I should look into getting published. She had such a profound, positive effect on me I can't even put it into words. She is not only my all time favorite professor she is one of my favorite people in the world."
"Then my Senior Thesis professor, whose name I have forgotten, offered to help get my Sr. Thesis published. For some reason, I did not take him up on the offer, but I graduated from Roosevelt knowing I had the potential to become a successful writer and author."
Peter's motto: "Treat others the way you want to be treated."
Peter's favorite saying: "There is always a method to my madness."
After taking writing classes in college, he was then accepted into the Long Ridge Writers Group. He has completed their short story and article course and has nearly finished their fiction novel course.
Peter chooses to do his brilliant work at night. When he is not writing, or playing with his son Matthew you may find him playing softball, bowling, working out, watching sports, or reading.
