Peter Pan

One of my most beloved movies from my childhood. I still have a big book about Peter Pan too--tattered and torn but still in one piece. The one and only Broadway play I have ever since was Peter Pan with Sandy Duncan. It was spectacular!

Peter Pan History

Peter Pan is a character created by Scottish novelist and playwright J. M. Barrie (1860?1937). A mischievous boy who can fly and magically refuses to grow up, Peter Pan spends his never-ending childhood adventuring on the small island of Neverland as the leader of his gang the Lost Boys, interacting with mermaids, Indians, fairies and pirates, and from time to time meeting ordinary children from the world outside. In addition to two distinct works by Barrie, the character has been featured in a variety of media and merchandise, both adapting and expanding on Barrie's works.

So Disney didn't come up with the first Peter Pan? Some Scottish novelist did. I would have never known. This is why I love Squidoo, that's a fact I'll remember and use in meaningless conversation one day I know it. Great lens! Good content. Love the pictures! **5**

I love Peter Pan (and Tinkerbell!) Great lens. It just must not get much exposure because it is a really good lens. 5*

I love Peter Pan and of course Tinkerbell. You do not see him that often in the Disney parks although there is a character meal where he appears sometimes.
