The Catz and Dogz® virtual Petz product lines have sold more than 3 million copies worldwide, while spawning a huge community of loyal Petz owners.
Dogz and Catz live on your computer desktop. You raise them from little Puppyz and Kittenz as they grow, play, and learn together. When they grow up, many will start families of their own. Petz look to you for care, guidance, and training. For every Petz you adopt, you'll get to sign an Adoption Pledge promising to be a good Petz owner. Make sure your Dogz and Catz get plenty of healthy food, exercise, and playtime -- and lots of love from you! Tasty Treatz are one way to reward your Petz for good behavior -- just don't overdo it. Use the spray bottle to keep particularly naughty Petz in line. Your Petz will run away if they feel neglected. Please adopt only those Petz you're sure you want and take good care of them.

This game is really entertaining. The "voices" of the cats and dogs on the computer are simply realistic; and there is no need for a pooper-scooper! The best thing is, you can take care of your pet, leave on a vacation for a few days, start up the program, and the game will not go on without you! And better yet, there is no allergy, or cat fur, or smelly doggy breath aorund the house. Really well done. My daughter loves it.

The graphics are kind of funky, but cute nevertheless. Kids find some humor an whimsy in the game as well. For example, a pig who is making his way through the backyard walks over a paintbrush and his head is subsequently painted blue. In various playscenes, different animals arrive from time to time, such as a pig and a bunny in the backyard, a circus dog in the circus playscene, and a Chihuahua with a tiny mustache in the Wild West play area.
Ubisoft's Petz series is still alive and kicking
Ubisoft's Petz series is still alive and kicking -- today, the company announced five titles releasing in the last half of 2006 for the PC, GameBoy Advance and Nintendo DS.
"Consumers are hot on the prowl for more pets games and Ubisoft has responded by expanding our family of loveable creatures," said Jay Cohen, Vice President of publishing at Ubisoft. "We're building upon the success of our existing Dogz(r) and Catz(r) franchises and introducing new animals that consumers are sure to adore. Now everyone with a PC, Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS will be able to have the rewarding experience of raising their very own pet."
Dogz, Catz, and Horsez are all releasing for the PC and Nintendo DS, while Dogz Fashion is only hitting the GBA and Hamsterz Life is only spinning its wheel on the DS. Dogz Fashion is hitting shelves next month, while the rest of the Petz games are being released this November.

Things like toyz and food can be found in the Playscenes and won by playing the minigames. It's a lot like a scavenger hunt! Look in cabinets, on the walls, and in every room. Remember, for each item you find and put into the Carrying Case, you can then take EVERYWHERE with you.
For a finicky eater, soften their food with water from the kitchen sink. The food will look no different, but when you put the bowl down for your pet to eat they are more likely to eat than to refuse.
