The Phantom Muppet

The cast of The Phantom Muppet 

• Obi Wan- Rizzo Wan? Obi Wan KenRizzo? Rizzo the Rat would look good with a 'rats tail' padawan braid. He also has all of Ewan McGregor's charm and screen presence (I really do like Rizzo and it's no slight on Ewan, whom I like also)
• Anakin- Kermit. Well maybe his nephew as young Anakin. I can see the younger frog wearing the pod racer goggles. Episode II will see Kermit DiCafroggio take on the role.
• Battle Droids- Gonzo's chickens.
• Naboo Palace Guards- all the Pigs. Especially the ones featured in Pigs In Space.
• Yoda- I was thinking Grover. I know he's from Sesame Street but he and Yoda have something in common. Frank Oz is comfortable sticking his hand up both their butts.
• Jedi Council- the Muppet Band.
• Palpatine/Sidious- While they're one in the same we could have a twist for The Phantom Muppet. The two old guys up in the balcony could play these parts.
• Supreme Chancellor Valorum- Sam The Bald Eagle. He'd love the part and you could guarantee that he'd be miffed when he loses his position due to the vote of no confidence.
• Darth Maul- I originally slated Gonzo for the part. I done a drawing for him and he looks good with the Maul facial markings. But I was stuck for the part of one of the other main characters. You'll see below who he eventually scored the part of. And who got Maul's lines.
