Philips 42PFL7403D/27 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV Review
Philips 42PFL7403D/27 is the high-end version of Philips' 42-Inch HDTV and every good thing about the 42PFL5603D/27 is also true for this one. In addition, the perfect pixel 3 HD engine for Philips 7400 Series combined with 120Hz refresh rate and 2ms response time really put serious overall improvements in picture quality.To make things better the speakers are improved too. They are more powerful and loud. This model cost about $200 more than 42PFL5603D/27 but if you could justify spending that extra $200 then you really should just get this one.

Philips 47PFL5603D/27 47-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review
Pros:* Amazing picture quality. Everything look so life-like
* Visually appealing and the frame looks pretty.
* Great sound quality. Clear and loud.
* Upconverted DVDs look great.
* Blu-ray? Don't ask. It's simply superb.
* Light and easy to use remote control complete with all the necessary controls and features.
* Plenty of inputs and outputs. More than enough to plug in accessories (game console, home theater, Blu-ray player, dital camera, etc). The USB port allows you to play MP3 and display slide shows from your flashdrive.
* High contrast ratio. Blacks are blacks and whites are white. Philips' 29,000:1 contrast ratio is far superior than competing 47-Inch LCDs.
* Since this is a Philips the build quality and endurance is top-notch. It'll last years to come.
* No glare/reflection problem from the screen even when the room has abundant of light.
* Low power consumption.
Cons:
* The menus don't look very nice (though I doubt anyone would buy a 47-Inch HDTV to stare at the menus)
* No Picture in Picture (PiP) feature (yet another minor complaint)

* Standard definition programs looks good but HD programs look awesome.
* Blu-ray movies simply stunning and upcoverted DVDs looks great.
* No banding or clouding problems found on other brands.
* No shiny/glossy screen like Samsung's LCD which means much less reflections when you're TV is put in a well-lit room.

* Aesthetically appealing and comes with a matching sturdy swivel stand.

Cons:
* So-so audio quality. Philips really meant this to be a home theater centerpiece where you will add your own home theater speakers.
* Though the menu navigation is good but the remote control itself feels cheap.
* Limited viewing angle. Bad images and colors when viewing at a distance and you're not exactly in front of the screen.
* A lot heavier (98.6 pounds) than other 52-Inch HDTVs. You need the muscle power to move it around or wall-mount it.
* No Picture in Picture (PiP) feature, doesn't matter very much though.
* No DVI or VGA output.
