An Issue of the Heart

Philip A Kledzik was born in Hazelcrest, IL in 1971. He is one of six children born to Walter and Sheila Kledzik. He lived his first twenty some years of his life in the city of Country Club Hills, IL.

Growing up Philip played football with the Country Club Hills Cougars and later played with the Grace Fellowship Church softball team for many years. He has resided in New Lenox, IL for most of the last decade. During that time he married his wife Deborah and together they have had three beautiful children. Philip attended the public school system from Kindgergarten through Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills. He earned an Associate's Degree from Triton College in 1992. He earned both a Bachelor and Master's degree from Chicago State University in the 1990's. He has also attended South Suburban College, Joliet Junior College, National Louis University, Governor's State University, Moraine Valley Community College and Prairie State College.

Phil began his teaching career as a substitute teacher in both Country Club Hills and Oak Forest. Later he became a full time instructor for Crete Monee High School, the E.C.H.O. Joint Agreement in South Holland and Lockport Township High School. In 2005 Philip began teaching college courses at Moraine Valley Community College. Phil was a regular attender or member of Moraine Valley Baptist Church from the mid 1970's to 1988. Phil became a Christian in 1988. He began to attend as a member Grace Fellowship Church from 1988 to 2006 and is currently a member at Crossroads Community Church in New Lenox.

While at Grace Fellowship Church he led the Lighthouse Singles Ministry and served for approximately twelve years as a High School Ministry leader. At his current church he teaches on the book of James for Sunday morning class. From the mid 1990's into the new Century Phil was a regular active participant at the singles ministries of Hope Community Church and Christ Church of Oak Brook. Recently Philip has published his first novel, "An Issue of the Heart", and is waiting only on the contract for his second, "Painted Rooms".
