Funniest Phone Messages

Why not have a laugh?

  • You have reached 555-1212. We picked this machine up at a garage sale in "as-is" condition. You can try to leave a message on it, but we are not sure it will be recorded. If we don't return your call, it means the machine did not work.

  • This is not an answering machine - this is a telepathic thought-recording device. After the tone, think about your name, your reason for calling, and a number where I can reach you, and I'll think about returning your call.

  • Thank you for calling 911. All of our operators are currently busy. Please stay on the line, and your call will be answered in the order it was received. (Worst Muzak possible) Thank you for holding. Your call is important to us. Please continue to hold. Or, if your little emergency isn't too serious, leave a message at the tone, and one of our crisis operators will call you back. Have a nice day.

  • Hi. I'm probably home, I'm just avoiding someone I don't like. Leave me a message and if I don't call back, it's you

  • Believe it or not,
    George is not at home,
please leave a message after Beep,
    I'm not at home,
so i could not answer the phone,
    How could this be,
believe it or not ,I'm not home.

  • Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello,
No one's here, no one's home,
Leave a message, at the tone.
Don't feel stupid, it's no big fuss,
Leave a message, you can reach us.

  • (Theme music from James Bond) Hello. My name is David, code number 555-1212. I'm sorry I can't take your call, but I'm on an international mission involving the theft of gold plated Spam. Leave a message after the tone, and should I survive my mission, I'll call you back. Ciao babies!

Collecting Phone Cards

About this odd hobby

Phone cards, telecards, telephone cards are some of the most widely sought collectibles of the last 25 years. First issued in Italy in 1976, these collectibles are now found everywhere from Aland (Finland) to Zimbabwe.

Like stamps, they are printed in varying numbers. Some issues, such as promotional or commemorative cards, can be extremely limited in number, forcing values up. Some cards have been printed in such tremendous variety that, like philatelists, card collectors can specialize. Some concentrate on first issues.

Others prefer pop culture icons like Disney, Coca-Cola, or Star Trek (my favorite, of course). Some people just pick a favorite theme, like flowers, animals, or scenic designs, around which to build a collection.

I definitely agree with your lens. In my country, people use postpaid cards, which is unbelievable because they don't know what they're losing. Cellular phone operators charge consumers a certain fixed cost for postpaid cards. This is unhealthy. Moreover, as if they don't realize how huge sum they will have to pay by the end of the month, people keep spending. Nothing seems to be free of charge nowadays. Even ring tones are a commodity. Which is why I recommend this site. You can dowonload free cellular phone ringtones in the site. I wish you find the ones you like. Good luck for you.
