Are you tired of paying $3-$5 or more for your phone charms?
Did you ever realize that you can make your own charms, quickly and easily, for under $1 each?
You can use the same idea to make zipper pulls, or danglies for looseleaf binders, too!
It's easy, it's Frugal, and it's FUN!
You can make this!
Materials Needed
- Bead cord
- One large bead
- One medium bead
- Several smaller beads that fit on the cord
Putting it all together
Tie a double knot about two and a half inches down from the doubled end of the cord.
String a smallish bead onto both strands hanging from the knot, then a medium sized bead, then another smallish bead. Tie another knot close to the beads.
String your large, focal point bead onto the strands. Knot the cord again. You may need to do several knots, each over the other, in order for the bead to not slip down. Alternatively, you can string another sequence of small/medium/small beads to keep everything in place.
You should have a couple of loose strands of cord hanging down from your project. At this point, if you like, you can use an overhand knot to tie on an additional piece of cord, giving you more loose strands to dangle.
Onto however many strands you have (two, three, or four), you will string two or three small beads, and tie a knot at the end of each strand, leaving them free to dangle.
To attach the charm to your phone, slide the looped end under the holder bar on your phone. Then slide the ends of the cords through the loop, and pull snugly.
Another attaching alternative would be to use a small necklace clasp attached to the cord loop, then clipped around the phone's holder bar.

I really had fun making this one. I saw a picture on a website and decided to try my hand at making my own. Once I found my supplies and selected my cord and beads, it took me about five minutes to string together. You can see the results in the picture accompanying the site!
