Why you need to get a Phone Emergency Charger

This is what happened to my wife, on a freezing dark November evening;I had to drive 80 miles to my parents house with my kids. We left  around 8pm facing a possible two hour drive through open countryside.

The kids are sitting in the back of the car singing away with some new pop song they are playing on my mobile phone.I look across my gauges and notice the water temperature seemed a bit high between normal and hot, in winter my old Volvo runs around normal or a touch below anyway, I thought nothing of it and pressed on.On thought did flash through my mind that was; my cell phone battery is running low and last week, I almost bought a " phone emergency charger"

It was a very windy night and leaves were blowing of the trees, they looked like little creatures running in the road ahead, it starts to rain and on go the wipers, I look across at the temperature gauge once again this time it's much higher and close to the red, oh no, how long ago was it I checked the water in the radiator, must have been last month, I put the heater on high to try and drop the temperature  a bit, it does for a while then back up again to the red flies the pointer.

By now the engine is sounding a bit tinny and rattling, I look for a place to pull over and find an entrance to a farmer's field, bring the car to a stop and switch the motor off. The kids ask me Mom; what's wrong?  I say not sure but the car engine has overheated. They carry on regardless singing again, I'm really worried by now, it's so dark, wet and windy, kind of spooky out there. Getting out of the car I can smell the engine is hot, being a woman and not having a mechanical mind, I have no idea what to do apart from opening the hood to let the motor cool quicker.

Getting back in to the car, I find my hand bag and search for my trusty Nokia, pressed the speed dial to call home and ask my husbands advice. He answers quickly, I start to explain what's happened and bang we get cut off, the low battery is flashing in my face, I try again and then the phone goes dead, panic sets in. God I almost bought a "phone emergency charger" on line a few days ago.

It's getting late and no cars are passing us, guess everyone is home keeping warm and sipping a drink, I'm stuck with a broken down car, two kids and a dead cell phone. Better see if I can do anything with the car. I open the radiator cap real slow, put my finger in and yep it was bone dry, I call to the kids and ask if there is any water in the car, luckily there is a large bottle of mineral water, probably 2 pints in it. The wind is blowing around my ears the rain is soaking me as I tip all the water in to the radiator; quickly I put the cap on and jump back in the car. We set off again, I'm soaked, cold and by now the kids are arguing.

Well, I eventually made it home though, the whole experience left me feeling spooked and so many things ran through my mind, what if a crazy person came along, no one knows exactly where we were. The very next day I bought an "emergency phone charger" which I could carry around with me, it's great, the battery has 5 times the life of a cell phone battery, never again will I be looking at that sentence " low battery"  Get yourself one could even save your life. I bought mine on this website and now I have some peace of mind plus a $50 discount!  Phone Emergency Charger
