Photo Stacking Blocks for All Ages

It's not every day where I come across a toy that can be used for multiple age levels. Photo Stacking blocks are blocks that my baby can use,my toddler, my preschooler, and my elementary age kids! By changing what I put in the pocket, I can change the purpose of the blocks. These photo blocks are a wonderful hands-on educational toy for multiple age levels.

Safe for Babies

Babies love to look at faces, bright colors, and contrasting patterns. Fill the photo blocks with pictures of family members, patterns and different designs. Since the blocks are soft, there is no need to worry about little ones hurting themselves. I like to pair textured blocks, like the Baby Einstein Stack and Discover Blocks, along with the photo blocks. This helps make block play more of a sensory experience.

Conversation Starter

Developing Early Language Skills

Photo BlockstOf course photo stacking blocks are perfect for displaying photos! They are also perfect for early language development. Use them to spark conversations with your young child.

Who is in the picture?
Is this your___ (brother, mom, aunt etc).
What color eyes?
What were we doing in this picture?
Do you see a _______.
Point to the person's nose
What color shirt is she wearing?

This is a wonderful way to increase vocabulary. Another way to use them is to have your child follow directions with the blocks:

Place the red block under the chair.
Put the yellow block on top of the blue block.
Balance the block on your head.
Toss the green block onto the green square (use a Twister game, felt squares or cardstock)

These are just a few ideas to get you interacting with your child.

This would also be a fun baby shower gift or first birthday gift. You could go ahead and add the pictures before hand. I'll be saving this as a favorite. Thanks!

These blocks look like fun. Lots of good educational uses. We had a toddler-safe cloth photo album that served a similar purpose.
