Photography of things in Nature

I have always loved taking pictures of Natures Beauty. It was not until a couple of years ago I started taking photography a little more seriously and wanted to do more with it.

I honestly have a deep love for all of the beauty I see in nature while hiking or just walking in the woods. I have been known to just sit for hours taking in all of the energy that I feel when I am outside. I have also been told more than once, when I am in nature, my energy just merges into the scenery. I found that to be a great compliment and it was something I really understood.

When I am taking pictures of natural things, I try to focus on the unusual, the unique and/or things people would just walk by or who would just give a fast glance at. Tree stumps is one of my favorite things to photography. So this lens dedicate to some of my photography, in hopes that you will be able to see a little of the magic I see in nature and all of the beauty that it holds.

Photography helps us to build a better world! We take photo's of the beauty we see, therefore sharing it with the world.

The Earth is our Mother..

I have sung this song so many times in circle, in celebration and in honor of life. Yes, I have played my drum and sang this song at WarWoman along with many friends during the years.

This video is a unique version, I liked it!

What is more beautiful than the trees during Autumn?

Tiny waterfall at WarWoman Dell

This photo was taken (2009)

During a day trip with a friend to WarWoman several years ago, I sat on the damp soil by this waterfall taking in all of the energy I could and ended up writing this poem.

"If Words Could Explain"

October 15, 1996

As I sit by the small waterfall at War woman Dell,
On the cool damp ground,
I look up and watch the leaves begin to flow down,
Like a gentle fallen rain.

As each leaf begins its journey,
I am memorized by its dance.
I can hear the water singing soft tunes-
They hit me with droplets of waters-
Just to remind me they are there.

As the icy waters journey down the rocks to join their Relations-
In the pool of blended droplets;
It reminds me how all Spirits eventually blends together,
To become one-to become a whole-

The spiral dance of life is at its peak in my mind's eye-
As I witness the leaves transformation of colors and-
Beginning their journey to rejoin the Mother-
War Woman Dell is magickal in the autumn time.

I find myself honored to be a part of this wonderful process-
As I watch the shadows cascading across the hills-
And as the cool gentle rain moistens the ground-
And prepares the fallen leaves for a Unification-

Our Mother Earth welcomes "All" back with open arms-
As she absorbs them back into her womb
She offers all of life an unconditional love-
That is beyond words and beyond sight-
The feeling is breath taken, only If Words Could Explain

Oh wow! This lens sure didn't help my Spring Fever any. It made me want to grab my camera and get outside. These are all absolutely gorgeous. Photography By WhiteOak is fabulous. I have been to Black Mountain but it has been a long time. I used to love to go to Montreat and have hiked all around there. It is so peaceful and beautiful. When we were kids, we went to Church Camp at Old Fort, NC which isn't too far from Black Mtn. It has been a joy to visit this beautiful lens.

OhMe, it is so funny to read your message, because I have a case of spring fever and told my husband just this evening that we need to take a break to the mountains. I love doing photography so I want to do some of early spring in North Carolina. Love it there!!
