Being a Daddy's girl myself....I truly appreciated YOUR story! Time just goes way to fast rather we have our dads for a long or short time. I'm still can't believe he's gone and it's just been over a year. So fast and so short! Now my Earthly Father spend time with our Heavenly Father. I look forward to the day to be with him again. If you get a chance listen to the song called, "If you could see me now" by Don Moen. The lyrics creates a visual picture of heaven. I love it! Blessings Robin

Saw the link to this lens on one of your other lenses, and had to read it, being a father myself. Excellent choice of what to save first.

This was a very special tribute to your dad. It has now been 'featured on' and 'lensrolled to' my SquidAngel lens from my angel time last Fall.

My Dad's name was Charles. Never anything but Charles. Sadly we had a difference of opinion before he died and I never got the chance to tell him how much I loved him. Reading about your Dad brought on a fit of tears. You had such little time and I wasted so much of mine

I was exactly the same with my Mum...at the time she died our relationship was not good :( But I did love her - even if I didn't much like her if that makes sense? I wish I'd had more time with my Dad but what we had was precious and special and even if it wasn't much time, at least I had some to remember - sadly many people never know their fathers and theirs is the true sorrow...

Hi Ann - I've just read your lens "My Father". It's simply beautiful...it's now featured above in the "Fathers On Squidoo" section and I highly recommend other people visit it too :)

Thanks for sharing your precious photos of your father with us. I wonder if some of your relatives might have others that you haven't seen. I was quite touched by your account of his life.

Very touching - I think it's to your advantage that you saw him die: made it real to your five year old mind.
