Photoshop Artists Speed Painting

Besides being a great Photoshop Speed painting artist, Stephanie is also a Violonist, Painter, Sculptor, and 2D and 3D Animation Artist.

In 2007 Nico received worldwide attention with his performances of "digital speed paintings" posted on his YouTube channel. He has created a real following. Many photoshop artists have been inspired by his speed painting demonstrations on YouTube and have tried to emulate his work. To date, this maverick speed painter continues to be the best.

Nico directed two new animated short films between 2007 and 2008, which are participating in different national and international film festivals.

Currently, he works independently in animation, film direction and post-production, as well as a freelance illustrator for different business and private clients.

Nico Di Mattia was born in Cordoba, Argentina. At the age of 15, he independently published his first comic book. In 2001, he entered the Cinema and TV School at Cordoba´s National University where he acted as a script writer, director and postproducer for various short films, most of which emphasized his skills with aesthetic experimentation. It was during his first year at Cordoba´s National University that Nico made his very first "speedpainting".

Each speed painting was done with the Photoshop speed painting brushes 'basic brushes' provided in Photoshop 7.

The graphics tablet he uses is a Genius MousePen 8×6. .

. Requires a Pentium PC running Windows, with at least 4MB hard drive and 64MB of Ram.
. Pen has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity for controlling the thickness of a line.
. Pen uses a AAA battery. It has two buttons, one for scrolling and the other for right-click menus.
. Pen does not have an eraser on the top, as do those from more expensive graphics tablets.
. Drawing area is 8×6 inches (20×15 cm).
. Hot Cells for fast access to various functions, including save, copy, paste, and undo.

A graphics tablet is a computer input device that allows one to hand-draw images and graphics, similar to the way one draws images with a pencil and paper.



It consists of a flat surface upon which the user may "draw" an image using an attached stylus, a pen-like drawing apparatus. The image generally does not appear on the tablet itself but, rather, is displayed on the computer monitor.

The pen tool is for filling color in the specified area of the picture..First select the pen tool and click on any spot(1) on the pic.. Then click the pen at a different spot(2)..a line will be drawn... Now click on a different spot(3)..the region between 1,2, & 3 will be automatically painted with the color u have choosen!
