I love Photoshop! Although I use it for photos, I also use it to create all of my graphics and squidoodles including animations. Great lens, thanks.

I use Photoshop all the time for the things we do! I love hearing about other ways of getting things done in this program. From what I can see, Photoshop can do almost anything you can think of. Yesterday I discovered how useful it is to make a selection in one layer, then transfer that same selection to a different layer.

I was trying to delete the background of an image. my problem was, I was trying to select a rooftop that blended in with the background of the picture. The magic wand selection tool was having trouble seeing the difference between sky and space. I created a copy of that picture. Adjusted some of the settings on the picture so the roof's outline showed up more clearly, then used the magic want to grab the shape of the, now distinct, roof. Once I got what I needed I simply selected the layer with the original picture and suddenly I had the perfect outline of the hard to see roof.

This is an excellent lens on Photoshop (resources, review, examples, tutorials,...) - I've never used it because I haven't really had to do much with manipulation of photos and the like. But recently, I've been doing some digging and really like this application. I saw the video tutorial and it's got amazing functionality. Also, great job on the family portrait image restoration. Thumbs up! :)
