The scabies adult mites don't have eyes.

They do have four pairs of legs.

The female scabies mite is almost twice the size as a male.

The larvae hatches in three to ten days.

The eggs are laid by the female scabies mites

There are two things that cause the intense itching that comes with scabies. These are the scabies mite moving around underneath the skin and even on the skin itself and also the presence of the eggs. The itch can often be mistaken for eczema or other allergic reactions.

Scabies are hard to diagnose in the first instance, because they can only be seen through a microscope. If you do suspect that you have scabies then you can confirm this by purchasing a small microscope from your local chemist and taking a look at your skin through the microscope.
