I have been having heart palpitations for 7 years now after the birth of my first child. Agree with everything on this lens! I also started looking into magnesium deficiency and I fit the bill. When I increased my intake, it helped significantly! It's what worked for me as well as REGULAR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. It truly is a miracle worker!

I have hyper active thyroid, which started my anxiety attacks years ago. I didn't realize how important your thyroid actually is and let it go for more than 11 years. All of a sudden, I started having anxiety attacks for no reason at all. I have to take prozac, 40 mg. a day, because nothing else works! I've tried relaxation, meditation all that, calling someone who can talk me through, and still I panic. When you suffer from depression, anxiety, panic, it's the serratonin in your brain that is unbalanced, and sometimes it takes medication to balance it all out. Unfortunately I thought I was fine after a year free of anxiety and went off the prozac on my own, now I have to start all over with 20 mg, which is doing me no good at all..my anxiety happens everyday now instead of a few times every couple of months. :0(

I was having anxiety before, but now I'm having full blown attacks so badly I went to the emergency clinic thinking I had heart trouble. I don't know what to do to get the attacks under control.

I often find myself short of breath when feeling anxiety. I've never suffered an attack, but it's good to know what to look for just in case, thanks!

This is a great article on physical anxiety and panic attack symptoms. My sister has vertigo and we thought it was inherited... after reading this maybe the way we deal with stress was inherited, lol.

Hi I’m Amanda, I enjoyed reading your lens. It’s really excellent!!!
I’ve often found people have driving anxiety because they feel out of control and overwhelmed by too much information. They may even remember bad situations from the past. Breathing control and visualization are some of the techniques I get people to use to overcome their anxiety. You can find some more good information on panic attacks and how to overcome driving fear on these other lenses.

Nice lense. Specially now with Christmas approaching, panic attack is very common and knowing what to do really helps.

I found self-hypnosis helped - together with positive affirmations to counteract the root cause of the panic. It's still an ongoing process, but so far they've been the most helpful.

Thanks. It is interesting to see that palpitations and rapid heartbeat seem to be the most common symptoms experiences by people based on the poll so far.
