Physical Cosmology
Physical Cosmology a.k.a. BIG History, is the study of the development of the universe of matter or energy -- including dark matter and dark energy -- from the beginnings to the ends of of its existence, through astronomy, astrophysics, physics, and mathematics.
This lens is the cousin of Metaphysical Cosmology that covers the meanings, myths and theologies of how the universe came to be and continues.
Information and news about physical cosmology and related topics auto-updates through Squidoo modules for my continuing self-education and blogging inspiration. I will do my best to collect and curate a unique, interesting, useful overview.

- Cosmology and Superstrings
- Descriptions of the first moments in time describe the expansion of SpaceTime with the consequential cooling and creation of particles.
- Physical Cosmology
- Paradigm Shifts in Astronomy and Cosmology - To talk about physical cosmology, let us first define what cosmology means and what it meant to humans in ancient times. Cosmology means the description of our universe as a whole, its origin and its fate.
- Physical cosmology | Science Daily
- Physical cosmology, as a branch of astrophysics, is the study of the large-scale structure of the universe and is concerned with fundamental questions about its formation and evolution. Cosmology involves itself with studying the motions of the celestial bodies and the first cause.

- Setting the record straight: no simple theory of everything
- New work shows that the remarkably simple theory of everything hidden inside the E8 symmetry group that gained exposure through popular press a few years ago simply cannot exist.
- BBC News - Galaxy is most distant object yet
- A tiny faint dot in a Hubble picture has been confirmed as a galaxy whose light has taken more than 13 billion years to arrive at Earth.
- Early universe was a liquid, nuclei collisions at the Large Hadron Collider show
- In an experiment to collide lead nuclei together at CERN's Large Hadron Collider physicists have discovered that the very early Universe was not only very hot and dense but behaved like a hot liquid.
- Massive galaxies formed when universe was young, new findings suggest
- Scientists have found a number of very massive, highly luminous galaxies that existed almost 12 billion years ago when the universe was only about 1.5 billion years old. These findings appear to disagree with the latest predictions from models of galaxy formation and evolution.
- Large Hadron Collider experiments bring new insight into primordial universe
- After less than three weeks of heavy-ion running, the three experiments studying lead ion collisions at CERN's Large Hadron Collider have already brought new insight into matter as it would have existed in the very first instants of the Universe's life.
- Theoretical breakthrough: Generating matter and antimatter from nothing
- Under just the right conditions -- which involve an ultra-high-intensity laser beam and a two-mile-long particle accelerator -- it could be possible to create something out of nothing, according to researchers.
- Scientists find first evidence that many universes exist
- (PhysOrg.com) -- By looking far out into space and observing whats going on there, scientists have been led to theorize that it all started with a Big Bang, immediately followed by a brief period of super-accelerated expansion called inflation. Perhaps this was the beginning of everything, but...
