This is too cool. This fun learning approach is a great way to stimulate the curiosity, especially with young kids. Fun develops into passion for learning, and passion then becomes a self-driven motivator.

How did you fold the papers in the yellow portion of the sound lapbook? I'd love to do this in my classroom! Please email at katyjo_10@hotmail.com.

Your lapbook lenses are amazing! I'm about to start a physical science unit at school, and I'm going to use these resources to have my students make a lapbook as an end of year project. Thank you!

To quote you," Physics is a fascinating facet of science that is especially relevant to children." As a 58 year old "child," I find physics to be more fascinating all the time.

Thanks for the great lens! I Really appreciated it!

Your right, children should really get into physics. Not only is it fun, but when it comes time to take test where you have to picture 3d space in your mind or show forces at work on secondary or tertiary objects, learning physics young will really improve IQ scores from the get go.

I'm beginning to think I'm jinxed...is it me or is there something amiss with the link to the simple machines lapbook, it goes to lapbooklessons.com blog but nothing happens. I would really like to have this pdf file if at all possible. I love you squidoo lens and everything I've seen of yours.

Oh, how disappointing. It seems that the mom who shared that file has removed all her material from Lapbook Lessons. I'm so sorry about that. I've removed the link from this lens.

Another wonderful lapbook. I have never found a child who didn't love physics when it was taught in a hands-on way. Thank you for all the wonderful resources.

Welcome to the Back to School Group Lensography.

Great lens. I have a background in physics so enjoyed some proper science here for a change!! 5 stars and a favorite.

Nice lens. But what really makes physics interesting these days, is quantum mechanics and relativity, two theories that challenge our notions of reality! You might suggest that your readers check out "The Quantum World: Quantum Physics for Everyone" by Kenneth W. Ford.

We did all three of the Dinah Zike books for physics too. Here are some fun things we added.

My kids loved building with the Knex sets that deal with simple machines and really seeing them work. Check them out. I got mine from Timberdoodle. Here is the link
    http://www.timberdoodle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=127
    Knex Levers and Pulleys
    Knex Wheels/Axles and Inclined Planes
    Knex Gears

For Magnets check out Fizz Bang Science's book 39 Amazing Experiments with the Mega-Magnet (make sure you order it with the magnet)

For Electronics they also enjoyed Electronic Snap Circuit which you can also get from timberdoodle
    http://www.timberdoodle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=37
thanks for the links to save for the next time we do physics.

I've taught Chemistry and Biology (and enjoyed them both immensely!), but always run from Physics like it was the plague! Thanks for making it look more accessible. :-)
