Basic introduction to music which will later cover some Piano Basics

Music is man's best friend which can change his mood when he is sad or make him joyful at times when he is bored. It is the best entertainment man has ever had. Music differs from nation to nation but it is one common language used to balance man's mind. It is capable of making one dance to the beat and sounds of the instruments and to the mind blowing talent of skillful singers.
Many musical instruments make up the sounds and melodies of songs heard the world over. What instrument is the most widely recognized though? The answer is of course, the piano.
Music is generally classified as western and eastern music. Piano is the basic component of western music. It is popular for the fact that it is versatile an can be used in so many different ways. It is a solo instrument but it can also accompany other instruments to present some of the best symphonies.
Learning a piano is easy as long as you have a burning desire to learn it. Some basic knowledge about the instrument is imperative before enrolling for a piano lesson. Apart from the mechanical knowledge which can be embedded earlier when the lessons start, try to inspect a real piano and see what constitutes the musical instrument. The basic piano parts are the keyboard, keys, pedals, music rack, and piano bench.

If you don't already know, the part of the piano which you play is known as the keyboard section. This section is made up of 52 white keys and 36 black keys. Each one has its own unique and distinct sound. These keys were made of ivory back in the "olden" days but now are seeing a shift towards plastic.
Any full size piano should come with 3 pedals, of which you typically only use one believe it or not. The pedals are used to modify to the notes you play. They can sustain a note, dampen its sound, and so on. Also be sure that the piano you are playing on has a place to put your music book or sheet.
With this basic knowledge at hand now, you should look for a piano teacher to help you with your studies. By having a great interest in piano too, you should be well off in the long run.
Piano is undoubtedly a very popular instrument and with the way things are shaping up today, the need and demand for well trained pianists is rising. You may see yourself playing as a professional within a few years time after all.
