Microchip PIC projects
Ranked #7,620 in Hobbies, Games & Toys, #98,367 overall
This is a collection of PIC microcontroller based electronic DIY projects
list of projects
- electronic combination lock
- an electronic combination lock to use with an outdoor gate. It turns on a relay (usually to open a door) for a few seconds if someone enters the valid code. This relay can operate an electric strike or an electromagnetic lock. The code can be changed any time after entering the current code.
- DIY wireless remote control
- a general purpose remote control project using programmable PIC microcontrollers. Each channel can control a momentary or a toggle on/off output
- infrared transmitter controlled by serial port
- a programmable infrared (remote control) transmitter, which can be controlled from a PC serial port. It is capable of sending many remote control formats, including the Philips RC-5 standard
- irrigation controller, timer
- a simple one-valve irrigation controller made for a greenhouse. The code contains a software real-time clock (RTC) and a multiplexed 8-digit LED display and keyboard you can use in other projects
- interface LCD with only 3 wires
- interface a Hitachi HD44780 compatible LCD module to the PIC with only 3 pins used
- Sona-PIC
- measure distances with a Polaroid ultrasonic ranging module and send it over a serial port
- stepper motor controller
- control an unipolar stepper motor with 3 buttons: left, right, stop
- ultrasonic range meter
- measure distances with an ultrasonic transmitter and a receiver and display results on a 3-digit LED display
- morse code decoder
- decode morse codes from a microphone and print them on an LCD display
