    My daughters LOVED Madeline books!! I loved them because (back in the day) when my girls were small, it was very hard to find adventure books about girls. You may laugh at that today, but I combed - I mean combed - library and bookstore shelves for confidence building stories for little girls. This was a real trailblazer in that regard!
