Pictures of Louisville, KY

Ranked #1,629 in Travel & Places, #60,571 overall

Beautiful photos of the derby city.

Louisville is a beautiful place to live and work. Louisville is currently the 16th largest city in the United States, a fact that many are surprised to know. They are surprised because most people don't view Louisville as a "Big City". And this lens is going to show you why.

I have lived and worked in Louisville my entire life. I have always enjoyed the rich culture and laid back lifestyle. And now I am going to give back, both to you and the city that I love. Explore Louisville through these pics, but be sure to come visit as well! All of the images in this thread are Creative Commons. Click images for larger size.

Pictures of Downtown Louisville

Downtown-LouisvilleThese photos are all of downtown Louisville. Most of these are found through Flickr. Like the rest of the pictures on this page, I may have enhanced them or added details, but the original work is by the photographer and they are credited. I am the author of the edited versions. Whenever I re-publish a photo, I always contact the artist and let them know. You should too. :)

The Highlands

The hippest place in town.

The HighlandsThe highlands was the first suburb of Louisville. These days it is seen by many as the heart of the city. Our richest culture and diversity comes from this area, true Louisville natives keep a cherished place in their heart for this neighborhood. Full of mature trees, lovely homes, and unique business establishments, everyone should visit the Highlands at least once in their life.

Here are some great pics from around the hood, again all photos are CC.
