The arrival of flowers and Cherry blossom in Spring is celebrated around the world as a sure sign that the dark winter months have passed. In Japan, Hanami festivals celebrate the beauty of the cherry blossom and have been likened to Ireland's St Patrick's Day with Cherry Blossom.
Poets have a long tradition of celebrating the arrival of Spring and few will not recognise Wordsworth's poem:
I wandered lonely as a cloud,
that floats on high o'er vales and hills,
when all at once I saw a crowd,
a host, of golden daffodils

- Absolutely beautiful pictures - my favorite was the blue crocus from Japan. Your lens made me long for spring and as I write this we're supposed to get 1/2 a foot of snow overnight in my area. Daffodils are some of the first flowers we see in Maine when spring rolls around & I can't wait to see them. Great lens!
