A Divided Pie Pan for all Pies (and more than one at a time!)

Many people think a pie pan is simply a pie pan. I was included in this group of people until I saw this divided pie pan from Chicago Metallic. It's an innovative product that is sure to be a real crowd pleaser. Honestly, you can't please everyone (we all know that) but chances are great you will please more than one person with this pie pan.

It's divided down the middle. Bake an apple pie on one side and a cherry pie on the other? No problem with this pie pan..... One person likes pumpkin and the other rhubarb pie? No problem.....please them both with this pie pan.

Another good use for this pie pan....Squidooer Ohodron pointed out if you have a diabetic in the family and looking for diabetic desserts, you could bake one half of the pie with real sugar and the other with a sugar substitute.

Use a Bamboo Steamer as a Pie Carrier!

There are two sections in the bamboo steamer that will allow you to transport two whole pies (or four half pies baked with the divided pie pan). What a unique and handy way to carry your pies. It would make a wonderful gift also! Just bake your pies, insert pies in bamboo steamer along with perhaps a hand written recipe for the pies? Better yet, gift a divided pie pan to stick inside and let them bake their own pies! :)

Pie Box to Gift Pies

Pie BoxAfter baking with the divided pie pan, gift those delicious pies to family and friends. Place the pie inside the pie box and wrap with a pretty bow. What a sweet and thoughtful gift. (And the window allows them to see what's inside.) :)

You could also include this pie box as a bonus when you gift a new divided pie pan. Tell the recipient you would love some homemade pie! ;)

Maybe both, I have a couple sisters that are great cooks and I like to do my no-bake cheesecakes.

I'd buy it for me. I could even bake just half a pie, since all my kids have flown the coop!

This is a great idea. With just two people in the house, we don't need a whole apple pie, a whole pumpkin pie, etc. but would like some variety. Now I'd just have to adjust the recipes.

I had no idea this was a option. Yes, I would buy it and use it often.

It seems like a great idea. If you have a diabetic in your home, you could bake one side with sugar and one side without.

Oooh, I so want this! I always get bored of a pie before it's done so this way I could have two different types and not get bored before it's done.

Let's see.... I want pecan, apple, caramel apple, dutch apple, peach, raisin...

I'd buy it for either one...I know there are other families just like mine, with different preferences in pie. I like this lens so much, I re-posted it on Facebook.
