What Are The Pierre Dukan Recipes Like?

    The Details About The Dukan Diet

    Besides the fact that an estimated 5 million people in France have used the Dukan diet plan, many celebrities have also used it including Jennifer Lopez and Giselle Bundchen. Many people like it because they get to eat things that are tasty and are not restricted to munching on health foods all the time, and you are allowed to eat as much as you want throughout the day, but you must stick to lean protein, especially during the 1st "attack" phase of the program.

    The real gem is that weight is lost quickly. On average it's about 1 pound a day, which helps to keep those using this weight loss program extremely motivated and feeling good about what they are doing. A simple 20 minute walk each day is the only exercise that accompanies this information, which is also nice for those who can be easily overwhelmed by exercise.

    There are some drawbacks to the Dukan diet. The most common are side effects like bad breath and having to deal with constipation. This occurs because there is more focus on protein and not carbohydrates to balance things out. This is why during the stages you will be drinking lots and lots of water and eating oat bran, which will not only help with the bad breath but will keep your bowel movements regular.

    During phase two which is referred to as "cruise control" you will be introduced to a select 28 vegetables that you are to eat every other day. Nothing new here except that these vegetables are non-starchy. During the 3rd phase which is called "consolidation" you will be eating lots of protein and vegetables and slowly fruits are introduced. You are taught to make a decision that from here on out you will consume all protein on one particular day out of the week in order to help maintenance.

    The 4th phase is called "stabilization". This is where you get to eat anything that you like, but you must follow some of the rules that were established in the earlier stages in order to make the entire plan effective.

    Luc Lac Beef

    Luc Lac Beef is both easy to make an delicious400g (14oz) beef
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 tablespoon oyster sauce
    1 large piece ginger, crushed
    4 garlic cloves, crushed
    A few coriander leaves to garnish
    Black Pepper

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. Slice meat down to 1/2in cubes.
    2. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger and black pepper into small bowl to create a marinade.
    3. bathe beef cubes in the bowl of marinade.
    4. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
    5. add just a bit of vegetable oil to a medium sized frying pan, and over a low heat fry the garlic until lightly browned.
    6. Add meat to frying pan and cook over high heat until about medium-rare.
    7. add a few coriander leaves to your finished plate.

    This will make 2 servings

    Meat Loaf Dukan Style

    Dukan meatloaf2.2lbs lean minced beef
    1 finely chopped onion
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 tbsp non-fat fromage frais or yogurt
    2 hard boiled eggs, sliced
    Salt and pepper to taste.

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. mix chopped onion, beaten eggs, fromage frais or yogurt substitute, salt, pepper and minced beef together.
    3. Using a bread pan, use a light amount of oil and coat the surface.
    4. fill the pan
    5. place slices hard-boiled eggs on top of meatloaf mix
    6. place in oven and cook for 1 hour

    Makes 2 pans, or 12 servings (about 12 slices)

    The Pizza

    The pizza is one of the tastiest out of the Dukan recipes1 Babybel light cheese
    1 tsp of baking powder
    1 tsp of grated cheese
    4 cherry tomatoes
    100g of pre-cooked chicken breast
    1 tbsp corn flour
    2 eggs
    2 tbsp oat bran
    2 tbsp yogurt

    DIRECTIONS

    1. Cut precooked chicken into small pieces
    2. Mix yogurt, eggs, oat bran, cornflour, half of the chicken, baking powder in a mixing bowl.
    3. Place remainder of chicken pieces on a pan and crisp.
    4. Pour the bowl of mixed ingredients onto the pan to cover the crisped chicken.
    5. Place lid over pan and let cook at a low temperature so that the underside crisps.
    6. Once the bottom has cooked and while the top is still liquid-like, places cherry tomato slices, think pieces of Babybel cheese, and sprinkle grated cheese and sesame seeds.
    7. Place pan under in oven and cook until top is crisp as well (carefully monitor)
