The Pilates Exercise Ball is also known as the Swiss Ball. This ball provides a more versatile method of exercise compared to the Pilates Mat. The focus includes aligning the body, training postural muscles and building torso strength. It is advisable to select the right ball size that fits your frame otherwise you will find the exercises more challenging than they should be.The main principle behind the Exercise Ball is to train you to balance your body well. Pilates Medicine Ball
Purpose and Features
The Medicine Ball is known as the heavy ball. It is similar to the Exercise Ball except that it is smaller and heavier. The ball provides a weight-resistance motion to improve shoulder strength. The arms, back and abdominal muscles become more flexible through the stretching and bending routines. The Medicine Ball is made from tough rubber with a textured surface that gives a better grip. It is extremely durable and maintains its shape even after prolonged use. It is built to bounce on hard surfaces much like a basketball except that it is bigger and heavier. Pilates Medicine Ball
Our Take

The Pilates Medicine Ball gives a total body workout. But given its heavier and smaller profile, it is more suited to professional athletes like boxers, basketball players and tennis players. If you are a Pilates beginner, you should use the Pilates Exercise Ball instead. The Medicine Ball will improve your body's endurance, coordination and balance. Overall, it is great value for money
