Pimp my ride is the new computer game based on the popular MTV show of the same name. The game is set in Pimp City where pimping is the norm and cars are tricked out with the latest modifications. Like the TV series, your mission will be to restore old bombs to more than their original glory. Overkill is king and practicality takes a back seat drive.

Driving around town is what you'll need to do to earn the cash to pimp out the cars in question. Money tokens dangle in mid air ready to be plucked by the player and if that isn't enough there are other opportunities to get cashed up. Head on collisions will pay the bills, but you can also earn some coin by pandering to the adoring fans.

You could be excused for looking at the game and thinking the environment may be as interactive as the Grand Theft Auto backdrop. This is far from the case however. Game play is structured purely on collecting funds then meeting the fans and pimping the rides. Deviation if futile. Once you have the money, select the lucky car and begin pimping. You'll have access to a range of objects including fish tanks and sparkly LED lights, but leave your imagination on charge because the game options do not really allow you to display your true artistic flair.

Overall the game looks like an extended advertisement for the Pimp My Ride franchise. If you like the show, then perhaps you may be better off spending your time catching up with some old re-runs that you have missed along the way.
