Is Pimsleur Hebrew Right for Learning Conversation?

I just started Pimsleur Hebrew III and have been pleased with the previous two levels. The third Pimsleur Hebrew level builds on the two previous levels and starts to integrate this material with new vocabulary. For me the main goal was to work on my conversational skills since I already have a somewhat extensive Hebrew vocabulary. The key issue as I have learned is transforming my Hebrew vocabulary into real time conversations.

In the first level very basic vocabulary was introduced. So for example, in the restaurant scenario in the first level, there were a few examples how to ask for drinks. You would have learned "I want a cup of water" or "I want coffee" for example. In the second level you would have learned how to construct phrases like "I will go to the restaurant" introducing the "future tense" as well as past tense constructions "I went to the restaurant yesterday." This of course is just a small sample of the approximately 400 words you learn per level, but you get a sense of how things build over time.

In the third level however, you will learn how to construct much longer dialogs that will allow you interact on a much more significant level. Having just started the third level, the first lesson includes attending a meeting and explaining you're going to be late, a get together for coffee at a particular restaurant, showing someone on a map how to get there, asking for someone for directions for the post office. It also includes, buy cup of coffee after asking how much it costs and then apologize for being late to your friends or colleagues, and that's just in the first lesson.
