This is the proper type of bowl to use, although this particular item comes in a set of 12! This would be a great craft project for a birthday party craft project!
Most ivy bowls come with the fluted rim, but you need the smooth rim for making your gumball machine... otherwise the lid won't fit properly!

I used my rubber stamps and an ink pad to stamp on the flowers... nice and easy! Just be careful to stamp and "lift" so you don't smear the ink!
