- Hallo Pamela...I loved your lens. I am as English as they come, but have always had a fascination for the Old West. I read the Oregon Trail when I was a kid, and an image that sticks in my mind from the book is the trail of discarded goods across the plains and deserts, including pianos and whatever had to be jettisoned as the journey got harder. I have a 5* collection of Western movies. Is that remotely cool these days? Anyway, thanks for a thrill here, and a lovely lens.

- A friend and I were just talking about the pioneers of the west, while we were hiking up in southern Utah and northern Arizona, in the Escalante-Grand Staircase NM area. We were imagining life back then, which wasn't hard to do in that amazing and largely open and unpopulated area.
