Here be a list of terminology to help ye out!
Aft - the rear of the shipBilge - the lowest part of a ship
Bowspirit - slanted spar of a ship's prow
Crow's Nest - small platform at the top of a ship's mast
Fore - the front of a ship
Head - toilet facilities on a ship (see you don't use the Poop Deck for a potty break - ye might be made to walk the plank if ye do that)
Jolly Roger - the skull and crossbones flag of a Pirate Ship
Poop Deck - highest deck at the aft end of a large ship
Port - the left side of a ship
Prow - the ship's "nose"
Starboard - the right side of a ship
There, don't you feel a bit smarter now? At least you won't have any "accidents" on the Poop Deck.
