The alien world of Mer is being devoured by Dark Water. Only Ren, a young prince, can stop it, by finding the lost Thirteen Treasures of Rule. At his side is an unlikely but loyal crew of misfits; at his back, the evil pirate lord Bloth, who would stop at nothing to get the Treasures for himself.

About The Show 

A brief introduction...

The Pirates of Dark Water is an animated fantasy series created by David Kirschner and produced by Hanna-Barbera in the early 1990's. The series followed a group of characters led by Ren, the last prince of Octopon, on a quest to claim the lost 13 treasures of rule and save Mer from the insidious Dark Water that was devouring the planet.

Sadly, the series was cut short because of production delays and was never completed. There are 21 episodes in total and eight of the thirteen treasures found.

The main characters of show roughly divide onto the sides of good and bad. Though in this case, the lines are blurred at some points, these are the characters trying to save Mer.

Given to greed, wrath, and several other unfavorable dispositions, these pirates chase our heroes to get the treasure for themselves. They would doom the world for another coin in their pocket.

There are several characters in the series that either aid or hurt Ren and his crew. Some of these characters have recurring roles, some of them should have had more screen time, but were never able to due to the show's cancellation.

    this is a great site I was poking around trying to figure out just how meny episodes there are and to my disappontment they cut the series off before finishing it. But now I know and that sucks they need to go ahead and make the last episodes for us loyal viewers to see
