LOCATION
Accomodations for over 100 guests were available, and we had several dozen take us up on the offer and stay the night. Cabins slept families of 4-6 people and had electricity and heat.

COSTUMES aka GARB
There were a few people who did not dress up for our wedding, but many did, to our delight.
We found most of the items we needed on eBay. The wedding party dressed in attire very similar to the costumes pictured above (Pirate Couple Matching Costumes) and other family members found suitable finery at thrift shops, Halloween costume outlets or made their own.

INVITATION SCROLLS
We printed our invitations on parchment paper and rolled them up, securing them with gold ring party favors.
The remainder were mailed in matching parchment envelopes with blacklettering to match the invitations.
The parchment paper and envelopes were purchased at an office supply store, and the gold ring favors were found at a dollar store.
We used online "pirate speak" translators to help change the traditional phrasing to something more appropriate for the occasion.
our flowers and rings
The rings were purchased online and read:
One ring to show our love
One ring to bind us
One ring to seal our love
and forever to entwine us
(of course, it is in Ancient Elvish)
TREASURE CHEST FOR BOOTY
A slot was cut into the tray that sat in the top of the chest for cards, envelopes and notes from our guests.
castle cake and real treasure (chocolate!)
CAKES, FOOD & GROG
We rented a pig roaster and cooked a whole pig. Other guests provided food for a potluck style feast.
Keg beer was on tap, with other beverages brought by our guests on a BYOB basis. Captain Morgan was a crowd favorite. *g*
