Delicious Pita Bread Appetizer Recipes
Welcome to my lens about Pita Bread Appetizers! These extremely easy and fun recipes will make a great addition to your Thanksgiving meal - if I can make them, anyone can!
Most of these recipes take just minutes to make, and can be made with kids in the kitchen or by college students without cooking skills. (Trust me, I know from experience!) These are a great way to add another side dish to your holiday meal and get another family member involved in the world of cooking!
Cinnamon Crisp Pita Appetizers
My very favorite pita bread recipe!
To make Cinnamon Crisp Pita Appetizers, you will need: two pita bread rounds (white or whole wheat)
nonstick cooking spray (butter flavored)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Here what you'll do:
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F.
While it's heating up, cover your baking sheets with aluminum foil.
Next, split your pita bread so you have 4 rounds from your 2, and then cut each round into wedges of six.
Now it's time to get your spray out - coat each side of the wedges, and place them on your baking sheet.
Combine the sugar and cinnamon, and then sprinkle over your pita wedges, carefully coating each.
Finally, pop it in the oven and bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly crispy.

Pita Bread Crostini
Healthy Version of Crostini
Cut carbs on typical crostini recipes by using pita bread instead of French bread! What you'll need:
pita bread (white or whole wheat)
olive oil
red, green, yellow and orange peppers (or other vegetables)
goat cheese
What you'll do:
First, brush pita bread with olive oil on both sides and grill for about 90 seconds or two minutes each side.
Next, cut up the rounds into wedges.
For the topping:
Wash and slice your peppers (or your own favorite veggie - mushrooms and tomatoes also work well).
Saute peppers until soft, and mix with goat cheese in bowl.
Spread the topping across your wedges and enjoy!
