Pixel Advertising: The best scripts, banners, and ways to earn from microads
Ranked #620 in Business, #17,039 overall
So Alex Tew made his million bucks, and you're sitting around wondering why couldn't you think of that? Well, there's still some gold up in them hills, but you have to know where to look.
You have three options: 1) make your own pixel page that fills a void in the internet marketplace; 2) generate surprisingly high revenue from pixel banners on your own websites; or 3) leverage the power of pixel-based network marketing companies.
By the way, before I tell you about each of these options, don't forget to vote up there after you've evaluated the usefulness of this site!
How to Make Your Own Pixel Page
Why a knockoff MillionDollarHomePage won't work
I've seen some people creating their own pages by hand, creating tables or some kind of a script that does most of the hard work for them. To me, unless you can create your own script in under 2 hours, you're better off outsourcing.
Once you have your page, you have some details to consider. The most important is the price level for your ads. Nobody is willing to spend $100/block anymore unless it comes with a Rolex watch. However, they will spend $1-$10/block, even if they have to do so every 60 days. In order for you to be able to command a higher price per block, you have to fill a void in the internet marketplace. For example, with PixYourBiz, which focuses solely on the home business market, I give advertisers a 30-word description of the their companies or opportunities.
You need traffic obviously, so you'll want to do some Search Engine Optimization. You can also utilize the traffic exchanges (here is a list of my favorites), but be careful; if you use AdSense, traffic exchanges are against the TOS.

Build Your Own Pixel Page
- Million Pixel Script
- The best script out there automates all the headaches of a pixel site, with the added customization of an excellent admin panel. The banner you see on this page is courtesy of this page. Affordably priced, the script pays for itself very quickly.
Update: Version 3 has just been released, and it is Very Impressive! Take a look. The pixel banner above uses this new version, and notice how it now includes pictures and bold in the mouseover text. This is incredibly powerful for the advertisers.
- Free Pixel Script
- Start your pixel marketing site with a free script if you'd like to have the opportunity for the rewards without the expenses of the startup costs from a full-featured script. This script allows all the basics you need to get into profit quickly. You also receive the report, "Marketing With Pixels," which echoes many of the comments of this lens.
Network Marketing and Pixel Ads
Affiliate programs and Pixel Network Marketing Companies
- PixMeUp.com
- The king of Pixel Network marketing, PixMeUp got out of the gate fast in December, and is the only one of these sites with major activity. With first mover advantage, the site carries 12 pages of pixel ads, with over 16,000 affiliates. Price per block is $25. The site offers a 3x8 forced matrix with two business centers. This site has paid commissions. In March, they launched a Pix&Clicks instant win game with a $100 square hidden on the site, the goal of which is to increase the traffic value to the advertisers. This site was the brainchild of Russ Medlin, a very experienced network marketer.
Although once a promising site, this site has closed its doors to new members.
- ProPixelAd
- Although PixMeUp is the king, another promising one is ProPixelAd. This site has a 7% commission 7 levels deep. Your commissions are paid at a greater rate than PixMeUp ($2.10 per $30 block purchased). As a forced matrix (5x7), you can benefit from the activity of your upline as well as your own team's efforts. This site is run expertly by Darryl Jack, but seems to have hit an activity block. This site offers a matching bonus of 20% of your first generation's income.
Other than PixMeUp, this is the best out there, but I can't recommend it at this point due to a lack of activity. If it picks up again, I'll change this recommendation.
- MLM Pixels
- This is probably the least expensive pixel site for network marketing. Each block is $1, with a minimum of 10 blocks purchased. It also works off a 3x10 matrix. Ben Scarcella is the creator of this site. MLM Pixels includes a 10% matching bonus.
Again, I can't recommend this site at this time. It's reached a point where new signups just aren't happening, and the site owner is more heavily promoting another business.
- Easy Impact
- Easy Impact started just a couple of weeks after PixMeUp, and has failed to achieve the momentum it had hoped for. However, one thing I like about it is the enormous payout on your first level: 30% ($7.50 per $25 block sold), with no forced matrix. Meaning, if you are an effective recruiter/pixel hustler, then this is the best pick for you. On levels 2-7, the commission is 3-5%.
However, there has been little activity on this site for the past two months, so until I can update my recommendation, do not spend your money on this site just yet.
- Compare Pixel Compensation Plans
- See the above Pixel Pages and others side by side, as I compare the various compensation plans of each, and offer my ultimate recommendations.
What to Look For in a Pixel MLM
Things to consider when buying pixel ads
- How long has the site been in business?
- Does the business give a physical address?
- How realistic is my income gain?
- How much activity will it take for me to earn my investment back?
- What payment processor is being used?
- How much traffic can I expect from my advertisement?
Get Your Own Pixel Banner for Your Site
One example of such a partnership is at PartyPlanningMommy, which focuses on the work at home mom niche. In the space of two $10/month standard banner ads, this site generated $47 to the webmaster in the first week, with lots more room to improve that as you can see the available space on the banner. Plus the site has more loyal visitors.
Testimonial
Pixel Banners are a great way to raise funds. I love using them to donate to charities. Your lens gave me the idea to do this! Thanks, Bob!

My favorite pixel sites
- PixYourBiz Home Business Resources
- Okay, so this is my site, but I do think it's a good place to find information, and an excellent location for advertising because each ad comes with a 30 word description on the Companies and Sponsors page. Also, the page is advertised in Home Business Connection Magazine and all over the internet.
- The Best Pixel
- This is from a student in South America who has set his goals high. Regardless, he's a great guy, and very friendly.
- Company Battleships
- The best use of pixel space is this site, which puts the old game to use with pixel ads. Every few months, he holds a battle, and the last ship standing gets free advertising at the top.
- ChronicStocks
- ChronicStocks is not a pixel site, but uses a free advertising banner to gain traffic. Instead, the site features evaluations of investments. People who traffic the site are interested in making more money in general, so advertising on this site is good if you have a business or profitable affiliate program.
