A Disney Pixar Movies List – Buy Them On Blu-Ray Or DVD

Toy Story was the first ever full feature Pixar Movie to hit the big screen - and what better debut could any film maker possibly ask for? As innovative and entertaining as it was, this was only the beginning of things to come!

The Toy Story movie is a joy to watch - and provides an answer to the question may kids have been asking - what happens when you leave your toys alone in your room?

Well - if we are to believe Pixar's Toy Story movie - they come to life! In Andy's play room we find lots of interesting characters, such as Slinky the Dog, Mr. Potatohead and a platoon of gung-ho toy soldiers, all lead by Andy's favorite toy, Woody, a pull-string cowboy doll.

Their world is turned upside down when Andy celebrates his birthday. Enter Buzz Lightyear, the self possessed, gadget laden space man action figure, who quickly becomes Andy's favourite toy, beating Woody into second place and sparking a fierce battle between the two.

This battle sends them on an incredible adventure - getting lost in the "outside world" - and eventually they will have to work together to return to where they belong. With Andy!

Toy Story was followed up by Toy Story 2 in 1999 - and the next Pixar movie to be released will see the return of Woody, Buzz & Co to the big screen, something that kids of all ages won't want to wait for!

Since launching Toy Story in 1995, Pixar has released a total of 10 movies up until the moment of writing this, with the Pixar Up movie as seen above being the latest one.

So, finding your favourite then wouldn't be much of a challenge - or would it? After all there's a few really, really good movies in the mix. I guess it could well depend on who you ask.

If you ask any business minded person, he would tell you that Finding Nemo would come out tops, as this was the Disney Pixar movie to take the biggest gross earnings from the cinemas to date, and on a fairly low production cost.

The film critics would point to WALL-E, which is the Disney Pixar movie to pick up the most Academy Awards, and it gets some of the top rankings throughout the online movie review sites as well.

If you ask me - I'd find it really hard - because I like all the Disney Pixar Movies for various reasons, but if I had to name the one movie that I probably enjoyed the most, it would have to be Ratatouille. I love food and cooking just as much as a good film - and I thought the storyline was amazing!

I think that most people would agree that a Disney Pixar movie can be watched over and over again.

Anyone who has got kids, and maybe a kid inside, would probably agree. I know that I've watched many of the films quite a few times - and I actually still enjoy them! Right from Toy Story, over Finding Nemo and The Incredibles to WALL-E and Up.

So what makes Disney Pixar movies so enjoyable for "kids of all ages?"

They tell a story that everyone can relate to - a story that everyone can get something from - and that is the reason why they've become classics! At the time of writing this the release of Toy Story (1&2) on Blu-Ray DVD puts them both in the top 10 of the best seller list on Amazon.com, which is quite a feat for 15-year old movies.

The next couple of years are going to see the release of two new Disney Pixar Movies - and both of them will see the return of good old friends from previous Pixar favorites.

In Toy Story 3 - to be released in June 2010 - Andy is going to college, and has to make up his mind about his treasure chest of old toys. Should he bring them - should they go in storage in the loft - or do they end up in a rubbish bag in the back of a bin lorry? We're all going to know more about this on June 18th 2010.

The early summer of 2011 will see the release of Cars 2. The Piston Cup has been exchanged for the World Grand Prix, and will take us to various racing and rallying locations throughout the world, such as Tokyo, The Black forest, Monte Carlo, Le Mans and finally Londons Buckingham Palace.
