HERE'S WHAT I THINK
Did you know about Hillary's $11,000 Pizza Bill?
No! But I do now...
According to The New York Times, Senator Hillary Clinton's* latest campaign finance report, published on 2/20/08, revealed a Pizza bill of more then $11,000 for the month of January!
Now that's a lot of pies. $350 per day to be exact... See my Clinton Presidential Campaign Pizza Chart below.
After reviewing the chart below we might draw the following conclusions:
1) Hillary likes pizza A LOT and keeps at least 1 pie a day for herself.
2) She's feeding a lot more people then just her staff...the homeless, stray Republicans, Bill.
3) She's just wasteful and allows rampant spending. Most likely half the pies are ending up half-eaten in the trash at the Bellagio Hotel.
I am voting for #3. My assumption is that she has no idea where her campaign funds are going, now the question is, does she care?
*On a side note I am not just picking on Hillary, I am sure that Barack and Mr. McCain are spending their dollars on things like Pizza and Donuts too...Hillary just got busted in The New York Times.
Clinton Presidential Campaign Pizza Chart
Amount spent per day = $354.83
Cost of a Lg. 1 Topping Pizza at Pizza Hut w/coupon = $10.99
Number of Pizza's = 32 per day
Now I'm not sure how many people are on the campaign, but assuming 100 people per day eat pizza that's about 3 people per pizza. A decent dinner!
Now that's assuming that they are eating pizza EVERY night for 31 days in January.
The Pizza Bill
YOUR TURN!
Should the Clinton Campaign have spent $11,000 on Pizza?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byHeck Yeah...Pizza is an American staple!

If she didn't have a pizza bill her detractors would be trying to make headlines that she didn't take care of her volunteers. She did a good thing.

She has over 100 people on her main staff. At 4 people a pizza, that's 25 pizzas a day. If all they are getting for lunch is pizza, that's fine with me. People have to eat. I'd be thankful to have a boss that would buy me pizza for lunch every day. She probably gave them a choice...a lunch hour, or overtime and free pizza. I'd take the overtime and free pizza, personally.

I don't care... but the people who contributed to her campaign may have another opinion.

Well, I have to assume it was for fundraising and campaigning events where lots of people were involved. At least it wasn't $100,000 for wine, cavier, etc.

Gotta feed all those volunteers! (But now I'll know why they're mumbling when they call me - should have swallowed that slice of triple cheese before they dialed!)

No way...Another exmaple of Government overspending!

Besides the huge waste of money that comes out of OUR POCKETS, she's also supporting obesity and poor dietary habits. Now I know she won't have any initiative in fixing America's fat problem!

UNbelieveable! But I guess it's good that she doesn't go for something really expen$ive, such as filet mignon.

I have never volunteered for anything, whether a political campaign, helping an independent book store move, or painting a labyrinth at my church where they didn't feed us with either pizza or doughnuts. The pizza has some nutritional value at least.
There will always be people who look under rocks to condemn Senator, soon to be Secretary of State, Clinton. (and for whoever said this, it wasn't tax money, it was campaign money, some of which will now come out of her pocket)

Yes, I've heard of it and it's not obesity, it's totally out of mind! Many people today are saving money and trying to adapt a healthy lifestyle. I'm always watching out for things like book guides to help me get rid of fat especially this Vince Delmonte Fitness book called "No Nonsense Muscle Building". She should have invested in this instead of an $11,000 pizza bill..tsk tsk tsk....
