There Are More Arguments About pizza than any other food...
"People don't argue about steakhouses or hamburgers or Chinese food, but pizza hits a chord. It's a magical little disk that makes things happen. It doesn't matter if you're in Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, your own region makes the best pizza in the world."

Who Makes the Best Pizza in the World?
This is the single most asked question at pizzatheray.com
Pizza is a universal food. Most of us grew up with pizza. All of us have an opinion about pizza. If you want to read some personal pizza reviews go to Best Pizza in the World
You can also join in on a discussion of who makes the best pizza at the Pizza and Pasta Forum.
If you are from New York, it's New York pizza. If you are from Chicago, it's Chicago Deep Dish. The West Coast pizza fans have their own traditonal Italian pizza as well as "New Wave" pizza.
Of course if you are from New Haven, Conecticut, you spend hours debating who makes the best "apizza": is it Sally's or Pepe's? Then there are those who favor Modern Apizza. New Haven pizza fans are fanatics.
Woven accross the U.S. are small pockets of regional pizza favorites. For example on Long Island New York, it's a type of pizza called "Grandmother's Pizza". If you are from a certain area in Pennsylvania, you favor "Old Forge", pizza.
There are types of pizza for every different taste: there is thin crust Neapolitan pizza, there is thick crust Scilian pizza. As mentioned there is Chicago deep dish.
Then there are the master pizzaiolo, who defy any region and make the best pizza possible putting their heart and soul into each pizza produced. These are the legends of pizza
Here is a short list of pizzaiolo, who do it their way. For example, pizzaiolo Chris Bianco (Pizzeria Bianco, Phoenix, Arizona), Ed LaDou, creator of Wolfgang Pucks Pizza as well as California Pizza Kitchen. Tony Gemignani (8 time World Pizza Champion and co-owner of Pyzano's PIzza) and Brian Spangler (Apizza Scholls, Portland, Oregon), each carry on the tradition of pizza passion and strive for pizza perfection.
There is only one pizzeria, that can claim the the title as The Best Pizza in Las Vegas and that is Metro Pizza.!

John Arena and his cousin Sam Facchini founded Metro in 1980. They have not looked back since.

- I am a pizza addict I remember sneaking off to buy a frozen pizza as a kid because I had never had one. My first food addiction came naturally I come from a long line of ice cream addicts. So now I am on the search for a pizza recipe similar to the Pizza Pot Pie from Chicago.

- I moved to nearTampa Florida four years ago and found that I'm living the the melting pot of Pizza! We just took a 'field trip' to go to Springhill, Fl to Guido's Italian restaurant. We had the Chicago thin crust pizza. Thin and cut in 2.5" squares! almost alien to this NYer, but very good!
