Viva, Las Vegas! Enjoy the tips, links and info that will hopefully help you plan your wedding in Las Vegas!
1. Last Days of Singleton
Days before THE big day, arrive at Las Vegas and plan to spend the last hours of your singleton in the Sin City! Experience life and the company of friends on a night out on the strip.
Want girl-bonding time? You can do that, too! Try a day at the spa for relaxing massage and body pampering while indulging in interesting girl talk on the man you are about to marry.
2. Marry, Quick and Easy
Ready to get married? A valid ID, your social security number and $55 is all you need to get married in Vegas, oh and yes Love! It is that easy to get hitched: no wedding planner, no in-laws, and no wedding singer. Just you and your loved one and, of course, the one to marry the two of you: Elvis, a priest or the Commissioner, it's entirely to your liking. Just don't forget to get a marriage license before hand for a smooth flow of the ceremonies.
3. Marry in Your Own Style
Wedding for a party of 2 or a party of 200? Vegas has the place and style for you. Most wedding chapels offer an assortment of packages, from very simple to very grandiose. Rings, flowers, witnesses, everyone and everything are readily available. And don't worry about your guest of 200 they have a whole city to entertain themselves, so you can forget about them concentrate on your first night of marital bliss.
4. Stroll To Your Honeymoon
Some marriages break up before they start their honeymoon. A long plane ride can be a very tough test for newlyweds. But that is not a worry in a Las Vegas wedding. As soon as you step out the chapel (or the garden, or the Commissioner's office), the honeymoon begins. Stroll along the strip and be amazed with lights and water fountains that are brighter and larger than life. Or stay at any of the luxurious hotels to make your wedding night truly memorable!
5. Settle in Las Vegas
Close to 2,000,000 Americans can't be wrong: living in Las Vegas is a serious consideration for any couple starting their life. The city has made very good infrastructure to combat extreme weather conditions. As the Entertainment Capital, it has 24x7 availability for basic need: food!
Tired of the blinking lights? There's more nature to see at Las Vegas: try Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and Lake Mead are among the few that will surely take your breath away.
Ready to raise a family? Nevada is home to some of the finest schools in the US, take Clark County's Green Valley High school, one of the top 10 high schools in the US.
Don't just get married in Las Vegas, start your new life. After all, once you set foot in Vegas, you'll never want to leave ever again. Viva, Las Vegas!
The Bellagio Resort

The upscale Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas offers many wonderful wedding amenities. The Bellagio's wedding locations include two beautiful wedding chapels. The South Chapel, which seats up to 130, and the East Chapel, which can accommodate thirty, are designed with a European décor to them. If you prefer not to be married in a chapel, the Bellagio offers their Terrazza Di Sogno, or Terrace of Dreams, which is a lovely terrace location for groups up to 34. This wedding location offers stunning views of the Bellagio's lake and fountains. If you choose this site, the fountains will be turned on as the vows are sealed with a kiss.
Wedding packages at the Bellagio are definitely not the cheap, quickie type that Las Vegas is famous for. Packages start at fifteen hundred and soar to over fifteen thousand. What does all that money get you? Besides the wedding location, packages include such things as your flowers, limousine service, photography and videography packages. Some packages even include a penthouse suite, meals, show tickets and spa and salon services. High end bottles of champagne and Waterford crystal also come with a few of the packages.
Bellagio also offers a few opportunities that many Las Vegas wedding locations do not have. The first is a Jewish wedding package. The package includes a Rabbi to perform the ceremony, Mazel Tov glass, Huppah decoration, Kiddish cup, and prayer shawl. Bellagio also has Spanish and German speaking ministers and live musicians including a harpist.
If you are not yet engaged, the Bellagio offers a romantic proposal package. You can propose to the love of your life on the romantic terrace overlooking the lake and fountains. They even provide you with everything you need to make the night perfect. The package, which includes a rose, bags of rose petals, champagne and flutes, chocolates, and dinner for two, comes with a price tag of twelve hundred dollars. If you are already married, the Bellagio also offers a special vow renewal package for a thousand dollars.
If you are looking for an elegant and romantic setting for your wedding, vow renewal, or proposal, give the Bellagio a closer look. They can help you put on a memorable affair that will leave all your guests impressed.
Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is one of the older, more established hotels in Las Vegas. Around since the 1960's, the hotel has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. Although it is one of the older hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, this Roman themed hotel is no less elegant and amenity filled than some of the newer hotels and resorts. Among the amenities offered at Caesars Palace are some really fantastic wedding venues.
Caesars Palace offers six different locations for weddings within their property. Three of these sites are wedding chapels. The largest chapel, the Classico, features stained glass windows, chandeliers, and floral arrangements. The Romano chapel, the smallest of the chapels, has a Roman flair to it and features large Roman columns. And the Tuscana chapel was designed to recreate the warmth and charm of Old World Tuscany.
The other three wedding sites offered at Caesars Palace are all outdoor venues. The largest, the La Belle Luce Court, is an outdoor plaza with views of the Las Vegas Strip that can accommodate up to 230. The other two venues feature gardens and bench seating. The Intimate Garden seats up to 150 and the Terrazza Garden includes a pond and a fountain and has room for up to 114 guests.
Caesar Palace offers some wonderful, traditional wedding packages for all of these locations as well as many reception options. They also offer many great options that you can add on to your wedding packages. Live musicians such as a violinist, harpist, string trio or quartet, guitarist, pianist, or soloist are just one of the extra package options available. This is a really great amenity because many Las Vegas wedding locations only offer pre recorded music. Other package options they offer include Roman character actors such as Caesar and Cleopatra and web broadcasting of your ceremony over the internet. The web broadcasting is a particularly great option if you have many out of town friends and family members that won't be able to attend your nuptials. They will still be able to feel they are a part of your big day by watching your wedding live on the internet as it occurs.
Caesars Palace also has a variety of special ceremonies. If you are looking for something more than the usual quick Las Vegas ceremony for your wedding, they offer Mazel Tov, Rose, Unity Candle, Family Unity, Spanish, French, Lasso, Arras, and Broom ceremonies to choose from as well.
So although Caesars Palace is one of the older resorts on the Las Vegas Strip, it still has a lot to offer couples who would like to wed in Las Vegas. Whether you want an elegant chapel wedding or an outdoor garden affair, Caesars Palace offers many great choices and packages for your big day.
The Shalimar Wedding Chapel

The Shalimar Wedding Chapel is a Las Vegas chapel located inside the Howard Johnson hotel, right on the Las Vegas Strip. The Shalimar is a cute chapel featuring wooden pews and floral arrangements. The chapel offers three wedding packages to choose from.
The most inexpensive package costs only $129 making it a real bargain for anybody looking for a cheap, quickie Las Vegas wedding. The package includes a chapel wedding, flowers for the bride, a boutonniere for the groom, twelve photos, and a VHS video of your wedding ceremony. A witness, minister, and limousine are also provided although the minister's donation and limo driver's tip is not included in the price of the package.
The chapel also offers an Elvis package which features Eddie Powers, a world famous Elvis impersonator who has been featured on television shows and in movies such as Fools Rush In. If you have seen this movie, Eddie is the Elvis impersonator that gives away Salma Hayek's character when she marries Matthew Perry. If you choose the Elvis package, Elvis sing three songs and give the bride away. If you are renewing your vows, he can also perform the wedding ceremony.
Helicopter wedding packages are also offered by the Shalimar Wedding Chapel. The package, which goes for around $1000, includes a wedding in a helicopter as it flies over the famous Las Vegas Strip. Photographs, a video, the minister, and limo service are also provided with this package.
The Shalimar Wedding Chapel also offers a lovely gazebo located outside by their pool. The gazebo, which has a small brook by it, is available for wedding photos.
If you are thinking about a Las Vegas wedding, this chapel offers some simple and reasonably priced wedding packages that are worth taking a closer look at.
The Paris Hotel

The Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is located on the exciting Las Vegas Strip and comes complete with it's own replica of the Eiffel Tower. This hotel presents many wonderful options for couples that wish to wed in Vegas. First, they offer two beautiful and elegant wedding chapels. The larger chapel is named chapelle du paradis, which translates to 'chapel of the paradise' in English. This chapel is designed to model a cathedral complete with columns, chandelier, and a ceiling painted to resemble a sky with cherubs. It is available for groups up to ninety. The smaller of the chapels, chapelle du jardin or 'chapel of the garden', seats up to thirty and features garden murals on it's walls.
Chapel weddings are definitely not your only alternative if you wish to wed at the Paris Hotel. How about saying I do on the fifty story Eiffel Tower out front? Packages are available that allow couples to say their vows while on the observation deck of the Tower which offers stunning views of the Strip. This doesn't come cheap though, a morning wedding is offered for anywhere from sixteen hundred to a few thousand dollars. And if you want to pay for the privilege of having you wedding there at night with all the lights of the famous Strip as you backdrop, expect to spend ten thousand dollars. If you are planning to have a lot of guests, this won't be the location for you. The observation deck can only accommodate groups of twelve.
Other ceremony locations that are offered by the Paris hotel include weddings by their rooftop pool and in a 26th floor penthouse at their sister property, Bally's Las Vegas.
The packages that are offered by the hotel range from the traditional to more deluxe with some packages including suites, meals, show tickets, and spa services. Other services that are offered include live musicians and web broadcasting of the ceremony.
Receptions can also be arranged at the Paris hotel. For an informal gathering, they have a lounge on the 31st floor that offers strip views. Their many restaurants are also a good option for a reception. The catering department can also help arrange something more formal and for something really private, the Bally's penthouse can be rented for receptions as well .
So if you are seeking something unique or elegant for your Las Vegas wedding, you will certainly want to give the Paris Hotel & Casino some serious consideration.
Lake Mead

If you are planning a wedding in Las Vegas, you may want to consider getting married at Lake Mead. There are several options to choose from if you would like to get married at this famous man made lake.
Lake Mead Cruises offers wedding packages that take place aboard their Mississippi style paddlewheel boats. The Desert Princess is the larger of the two boats they have available. It features two enclosed decks and an open air deck. This boat can accommodate groups of up to 250. The Desert Princess Too is available for groups of 75 or less.
Ceremonies can be performed on the top deck of the boat with the beauty of Lake Mead creating the perfect setting for your wedding. Packages include a wedding cake, champagne toast, and up to three hours of cruise time on the lake. You can also purchase additional time if you want your reception to last longer. Some packages even include keepsake boarding photos which would make great wedding favors for your guests. Hors d'oeuvres or sit down dinner receptions can be arranged and several bar packages are offered. Their menu offers you the choice of salmon, chicken, prime rib, or pasta entrees which are accompanied with salad, bread, and side dishes such as rice pilaf and vegetables.
Lake Mead Cruises can help you arrange entertainment for your wedding. They also provide a list of vendors for the services that do not come with their packages such as the minister, florist, and photographer. Package prices are more expensive on Fridays and Saturdays.
Another option they offer, rather than chartering the whole boat for your wedding and reception, is to have the ceremony on the top deck prior to one of their scheduled cruises leaving. You can then pay the regular per person rate for you and your guests to join the cruise after the ceremony if you'd like. Champagne brunch, mid-day, early dinner, and dinner and dance cruises are all offered. Rates for this run about $20-$60 a person depending on the cruise and group discounts that are offered.
If you don't want to get married on a boat, you can still enjoy the scenery of Lake Mead by getting married in a park in Boulder City that overlooks the lake. Wedding packages are available that come with a bouquet and boutonniere, photography, transportation, music, wedding cake, and a minister to perform a civil, religious, or renewal ceremony.
Lake Mead is a fantastic place to have a wedding. It really is an oasis in the desert and is quite impressive when you consider that just decades ago, this enormous lake was nothing but desert.
The Venetian Hotel

The Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas offers couples many wonderful wedding ceremony locations. They have three beautifully decorated wedding chapels which can each seat as many as fifty guests, or can be combined into one large chapel that accommodates larger groups of up to 150. Chapel weddings are far from the only thing that they offer though.
The Venetian also has two stunning Venice themed ceremony locations were couples can say their vows. The first offers couples the opportunity to get married while floating down a canal in a gondola which comes complete with a gondolier. The other Venice inspired site that is offered is a romantic bridge in the middle of a replica of St. Mark's Square. There are definitely a lot of opportunities available to plan a lovely wedding at this hotel and they offer many traditional wedding packages to choose from. These packages include the standard wedding staples such as flowers and photography and some even include room suites, salon and spa services, and meals.
The Venetian also presents many reception options. If you are looking for a smaller gathering, they offer hospitality parlors which can accommodate up to forty guests for a two to three hour reception. They also have many delicious restaurants that could serve as a more informal reception choice. Their catering department is also available to help you arrange a reception. The Venetian also has a great selection of entertainers available for you to hire for your reception, if you wish. Some of the entertainment that they can provide includes musicians, Italian and opera singers, a magician, and a juggler.
So if you have always dreamed of a wedding in romantic Venice, but a trip all the way to Italy is not possible, all you need to do is hop the next plane to Las Vegas and the Venetian can help make all your wedding dreams come true.
The Flamingo Hotel

The Flamingo Hotel & Casino, which is located in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip, provides a beautiful garden area that sets the mood for the many wedding venues that are offered there. Located on a hill in the garden area is The Garden Chapel, an elegant indoor wedding chapel. This is a switch from the chapels that most other hotels offer since it is located on the grounds instead of within the hotel.
If you prefer an outdoor location over a chapel, the Flamingo has plenty to choose from. You can say your nuptials in The Gazebo Chapel, which is an ivy covered gazebo in a garden setting. Want something more dramatic? The Crescendo Pool venue, located in the pool area, offers a stunning atmosphere that includes the bride making her grand entrance from underneath a waterfall. The ceremony then takes place with a large waterfall acting as a romantic backdrop. This location is only available during fall and winter months.
The West Lawn, which is another outdoor garden site, provides an old fashioned gazebo located in the midst of a large grassy area. The Garden Trellis, a small garden locale with rose covered trellis, and The Paradise Falls, a small waterfall location, are available for more intimate affairs.
Traditional packages with ceremony site, minister, flowers, photos, and video are offered for these locations. Some packages include room or suite accommodations. Another great thing about the packages is that they provide either a pianist or violinist for the ceremony so you and your guests enjoy the experience of live music rather than recorded.
The Flamingo can also organize a reception for you. They can help you arrange everything from a simple or elaborate banquet to a gathering in one of their restaurants. If you prefer something private, they can even help you put together a party in your suite. So if you are looking to marry in Las Vegas and would like a romantic and breathtaking locale for your wedding, you may want to give the wedding sites offered by the Flamingo a closer look.
The Mandalay Bay Resort

If you are torn between wanting to get married in a tropical paradise and Las Vegas, look no further than the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas is a tropical themed resort complete with it's own beach and tropical landscaping. This resort offers two charming wedding chapels which are located right next to an eleven acre tropical lagoon.
If you want to get married at this location, their chapels have some reasonably priced packages. While some Las Vegas hotels have wedding chapels with packages that start at well over a thousand dollars, the Mandalay Bay's least expensive package, the Crystal Waters package, costs around seven hundred dollars. This includes the chapel, a minister, a wedding bouquet for the bride and a boutonniere for the groom. Also included is a small photography package, bottle of champagne, and a pianist to perform at your ceremony. The pianist is a nice addition since many Las Vegas wedding locations only provide recorded music for the ceremony. This wedding package is only available on Sundays through Thursdays.
The Mandalay Bay chapels also offers several other packages. The most deluxe package available, the Diamond Lights package, goes for about twenty six hundred dollars on Sundays through Thursdays and costs an additional hundred dollars on Fridays and Saturdays. This package includes flowers for not only the bride and groom but also for the maid of honor and best man. Also included is a larger photography package, a DVD recording of the wedding ceremony, a unity candle service, and the pianist will perform before and during the ceremony. The package also comes with a skin care package, bottle of champagne, fruit basket, a honeymoon suite, breakfast in bed, and a champagne dinner.
The Mandalay Bay definitely provides a nice atmosphere for weddings. The tropical landscape and lagoon that they provide would certainly create a great backdrop for wedding pictures, and the packages are fairly reasonably priced. The chapels at Mandalay Bay certainly have a lot to offer couples who want to say "I do" in Las Vegas.
