Plans for Childrens Table and Chairs...time to get started
Listen to what your kids are telling you what plans for children's table and chairs they want...
When you are creating your table and chairs fo the kids ...remember the table and chairs should appeal to your kid's minds since they are the ones that will be using it. Ask them what they want and listen to what they say. Don't discount their opinions just because they are the kids and you are the grown up. A table with at least two chairs is great because then you child can have a friend work and play with them. Try to match whatever decor is in the room.Poplar would be a good wood to use to build your project. It's a hardwood and reasonably priced. Poplar is great for painted but you can also stain it also. i would stay away from Pine from the home centers. Pine is usually contractor grade and is not suitable for furniture. Now if you're buying Pine at a lumber yard that specializes in furniture grade wood...then the Pine they have should be OK. But for me I still like Poplar. The key to remember is you/re buying lumber to make furniture...so always buy furniture grade lumber.
