How to Treat Foot Heel Pain
Thousands of people experience chronic heel pain at different intervals of their lives. There are several exercises that can be done at home or at work to ease heel pain.
One that is easy to do is to sit down with your legs stretched out in front of you. Then take a towel and wrap it around the ball of your foot, holding each end of the towel as you pull your foot toward you until you feel your calf gently stretch.
Another one that feels really good is taking a ball or plastic bottle and rolling it along the sole and heel of your foot. This can be done in a sitting position with the ball, or bottle, on the floor as you move your foot over it or you can take them in your hand and move the articles against your foot.
It may also be a good idea to use an over the counter medication, such as anti-inflammatory medication like Advil or Ibuprofen, or pain creams, to ease heel pain.
For those who have a strenuous workout routine, especial that involve a lot of running or other activity that cause heel stress, it may be a good idea to limit these activities until a treatment regiment can be completed.
If symptoms become long term and unrelenting then it is important to see a doctor. Often a specialist can prescribe special inserts or other treatment methods that relieve more persistent and chronic pain.

Help for Bunions
Caring for Foot Bunions
Bunions result from an improper weight distribution when walking, causing the big or little toe to move inwards toward the toe next to it and the bone at the base of the toe to move outwards and rub against shoes. One of the best things that can be done for bunions is to have proper arch support in shoes or arch support inserts. These keep the foot from flattening out too much and ease foot pressure while a person walks.
Before going to bed many people have found it useful to slip a foam-rubber pad between their toes to separate them and relieve pressure on the bone.
Also, it is important to be careful when it comes to shoe selection. Wearing shoes that give plenty of toe space is a good ideas, as-well-as avoiding or shoes that are too small, pointy-toed, or have heels more than 2 inches high. Getting shoes professionally fitted, or stretched over the area of the bunion, will generally lessen pressure and add to foot comfort.
There are a variety of thick, ring shaped, self-sticking pads that relieve pain when put around the bunion. These keep shoes from rubbing against the bunion, avoiding unneeded irritation.
If these practical steps do not relieve bunion pain then surgery to correct the bone alignment may be necessary. This will relieve pain and improve the condition, but will not completely correct it. The patient will still have to continue to avoid tight fitting or pointy shoes.

Plantar Fasciitis Foot Pain Treatment
The plantar fasciitis is a thick ligament that runs just under the skin on the bottom of the foot that helps to support the arch of the foot. It causes pain when it is over, or under, stretched. There are several things that you can do to help out minor pain.First it is important to identify which is your problem before deciding on a Plantar Fasciitis treatment. Generally speaking, if the foot flattens overmuch, then the plantar fascia may become overstretched and inflamed. If, on the other hand, your foot doesn't flatten, then the plantar fascia may be pulled too tight with the same resulting pain.
Another thing that can be done is the plantar fascia stretch. To do this you stand straight with your hands against a wall with the injured leg just behind the other. Keeping your heels flat, you then slowly bend both knees at the same time until you feel the back of the calf stretch. Hold the stretch 10 to 15 minutes each time.
Doing exercises that strengthen your leg muscles will also help, like standing on the ball of your foot at the top of a step and lifting yourself as high as you can. Each time you raise yourself up, let your heel to fall lower every time to allow the muscles to stretch.
If symptoms become unrelenting then it is important to see a doctor about other Plantar Fasciitis treatments. Frequently, a specialist can prescribe special inserts or other treatment methods that relieve more persistent and chronic pain.
Help for Diabetic Foot Problems
Foot Care for Diabetics
For the millions of people who suffer with diabetes foot care is extremely important, since the rise in blood sugar levels makes it hard to fight off infections. Even minor conditions like corns, calluses, or ingrown toenails can cause serious infections that could result in the loss of a foot or leg. There are, however, quite a few preventative measures that a diabetic can take to avoid getting an infection.
First off, diabetes patients should be sure to follow their doctor's instructions as concerns diet, exercise, and medications. This will control their blood sugar levels, which will make it less likely that an infection will occur.
Daily foot exams are also important. Since many diabetics have no sensation in their legs or feet, they cannot feel when they have a sore or other injury. The whole foot should be examined, with special attention given to the bottoms and toenail areas. Your doctor should be contacted immediately if any redness, swelling, or other abnormal signs become visible.
Special attention should also be given when selecting shoes and socks. Open or pointed-toes, high-heels, sandals, or anything that causes tightness or friction, should not be used. Shoes that will be worn should also be examined before wearing to ensure that there are no tears in the lining or irritating particles that could rub against feet and cause blisters or sores. Stretch socks, nylon socks, or anything that has any sort of elastic band or inside seam, should never be used.
