Plastic Fabrication

Plastic fabrication is a specialized industry. There are many companies out there that provide a variety of plastic fabrication services. The most common is the plastic sheet fabricator. These plastic fabricators produce the end product using plastic sheet, rod and tube rather than starting with raw plastic pellets to mold the product. The latter is referred to as injection molding.
The sheet fabricator uses many processes starting with design. Next is cutting, routing or cnc machining the individual parts. The other processes include forming, heat bending, polishing, printing and assembly. The most common materials used are acrylic, plexiglass, polycarbonate, expanded pvc and high impact styrene.
It is always advised to choose a reputable plastic fabricator with many years of experience. Don't be scared to ask to see some of their work. Most of the good fabricators will be happy to show off their products.
