Plastic Worm Fishing- For Big Fish

Believe it or not most fisherman simply don,t know how to fish the best lure there is , the plastic worm, yes Plastic worm Fishing is the single most effective way to catch Big Bass, Catfish etc.

Anything that swims, they,re a feel bait that takes time and concentration on your part to master,but as you will find out its well worth it , just look at the master angler programs and see what most trophy,s were caught on "the plastic worm" thats right,, it takes a lot of trial and error on your part to master

, But those who do master it will consistently catch the biggest species of fish he,s targeting

, Practice, concentrate, then practice some more and eventually you will be a master at catching the Big boys!

Using plastic worms are best in the summer , but by all means do not ignore them early and late in the year , you will be pleasantly surprised, once you get this mastered you will be catching the biggest fish you never caught before!.

Texas rigging is by far the most popular by far and is totally weedless , thread the head of the plastic worm 1/4" into the hook, pull the hook out turn the worm around and bury the hook into the worm and use a bullet style weight that your line slides through, a little trick is to take a toothpick and stick it in the bullet weight and break off the excess this will keep your sinker from sliding up and down your line,

The Carolina rig you tie a hook on the line and put the worm on the hook as you would a texas rig style, but the weight is placed up the line from the worm from the swivel use a barrel swivel tied to the line to keep the sliding weight in place so it stays about 18" above your worm,or you can just pinch on some split shot up your line from the plastic worm, the idea is to use the weight to kick up on the bottom to attract fish to your plastic worm, unlike other worm rigs you can feel them hit this rig by just slowly dragging and stopping across the bottom , drag, stop, drag, drag, stop now your Plastic worm fishing

Detecting strikes is the Mental part ,this is what seperates the men from the boys

, Cast the worm , let it sink to the bottom on a slack line, watching the whole time for any line movement, be a line watcher, and this is where a bait casting rod and reel comes in to play it is easy to feel the line with a finger unlike with a spinning outfit,

Any twitches or line movement may be a strike , lift your rod tip from 9-10o'clock watching the line and feeling the line for anything that might be a lunker on the other end sucking in your plastic worm, when you see a strike or feel a strike drop your rod tip and reel up some, not all slack line and jerk upwards now your Plastic Worm Fishingif your not used to a bait casting outfit buy one "i have an awesome one listed here practice in your backyard or wherever, but have it down before you hit the water it will GREATLY improve your being able to detect strikes!
