Love it or hate it, it happened every year, and you were a part of it.

Maybe it was your school, your church, or your scout troop...

The yearly fundraiser.

It may have been chocolate bars, candy, or even *shudder* wrapping paper. Whatever it was, you needed to sell it so your school could make some dough.

Remember that prize catalogue they gave out? The one with those really cool toys, and the amazing bike in the back that cost eight hundred thousand points?  Okay, it probably wasn't that many points, but it was always just out of reach.

That didn't matter though, because that first day when the boxes or catalogs were given out, everyone was on an even playing field. No one knew who was going to be the top producer (even though it was usually that one kid, you know the one, I never liked that kid) it wasn't written in stone.

So you went door to door and knocked and waited and gave your "for the school" speil and all the while you're thinking about that bike.  

You didn't have your own product then, and with affiliate marketing, you DON'T need your own product now. All you need is a catalog and ambition.

3 Steps to Affiliate Marketing

1. Go to the Affiliate Marketing Quick Links Plexo and choose one of the affiliate marketing links and make a game plan.

2. Go to the Other Helpful Affiliate Marketing Links Plexo and get your domain name and hosting SOONER RATHER THAN LATER and get to coding. (If you don't know how to code, use the link to wordpress.org in the Other Helpful Links section and get yourself a blog that's easy to customize and easy to optimize for search engines.)

3. Blog about it, comment about it, join a forum and tell them about it, join a group and rave about it. Tell your hairdresser, your masseuse, your mailperson and your Starbucks latte-slinger about it. Tell your dog, tell your neighbors and tell your priest about it. Get the word out and get traffic to your site. Join one of the forums in the Forum Links Plexo and tell them about it. Just remember - form a relationship before you shove it down their throat!

The third one in the list isn't a serious video. Well, I'm sure HE thinks it's serious...but I wanted to share it because it made me laugh. The "magical money" shot is really the best. He just looks so surprised! Oh, and points for the use of the writeboard feature to draw a dollar sign too!
