Strategy and War games have a strong strategic component. Both are strategy related, but war games are focused in war, while traditional strategy games can be focused in anything. The most important thing in a strategy or war game is the intelligence and the practice in the game. Some strategy board games like chess may take a whole life to master while others are easier, but they all got the same thing in common, it is very easy to know the basics but very difficult to master the game. Usually strategy games have no random factor at all, being the victory for the most skilled player in the game. Blokus hasn't won 6 game awards for no reason. This game takes place in a grid of 400 squares and up to 4 players can play to it. Playing it is very simple, they just got to put their pieces together touching one to another but only in 1 side.

This game is based on the epic trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. This game puts players into the Middle Earth universe with all the characters of the well known stories depicted in it. This is a must-have for all Lord of the Rings fans but it is not only a franchised product, it is a great game to play.

    It's very nice to discover that there are other fans of war board games out there. For some reason, I don't really consider games like chess fitting into this category, but the games you mentioned the last - like risk board game, I really adore.     Very interesting. Nice lens. I just want to share something that you might be interested, somewhat like a board game also. Bridge, is a card game fun to play, but the better you play, the more fun it is. As you improve, you will be fascinated at discovering how much there is to the game. Despite popular opinion to the contrary, bridge is not difficult to learn. Learn how to play bridge contract card game and improve your bridge game in less than five minutes a day. Keep on posting interesting stuff, more power to your lens.
